This always puzzled me. Why don’t humans act much more aggressive or crazed like its often depicted with animals. Afaik there’s 2 types of rabies, “dumb” and “furious” so my question is more towards the 2nd type. For example, we never hear of rabies causing a human to accidentally bite another human so why is that?
It’s unfortunate that the shot series can run you $50k in the US if you don’t have insurance or your insurance is run by assholes.
One person needed the shot and was told they had 10 days initially so were not super worried. They were then told by the heath department they actually only had three days to do it. The health department referred them to a hospital. The hospital said since it happened where it did, they would need to go to a different hospital. That hospital did not have the shot. The initial hospital was reluctant to provide it because it was expensive but eventually caved and gave it to them.
I agree: get the shot. But don’t expect it to necessarily be easy.
The exploitation of newly found oil reserves larger than those of the United Arab Emirates or Kuwait by U.S. oil giants triggered the escalating aggression by the White House....
Venezuela had the US represent it in a boundary dispute with the UK over British Guiana. They settled things back in 1899. Then in 1962 Venezuela decided to stop recognizing that settlement. The UN has been pushed Arbitration several times and given steps to settle it but it has not officially been resettled. The UK and Guyana have administered the area the entire time. Venezuela has no legitimate claims and it is basically sour grapes that Maduro is using to distract his shitty his dictatorship is.
That’s not its intended use. Its intended use was for the militias which was our defense force after the country was founded. It was definitely used for that purpose and it was obvious how terrible an idea it was pretty early on which is why we switched to a standing federal army.
As for the false idea of keeping the government in check, the Whiskey Rebellion happened shortly after the passage of the Bill of Rights. Washington federalized about 13k militiamen and cracked down on it.
Do they? I rarely see jokes about it and if I do see jokes they are spicy diarrhea related which I will admit is odd because Americanized Indian food is not spicy at all.
We don’t have things in that size. You’ll see drinks in 20 oz (568 ml) or 12 oz (355 ml). And naturally for larger size sodas, we have 1L and 2L bottles. The 20oz drinks may have shrunk to 16.9oz (500 ml) though. As for other stuff like shampoo or sunscreen? Those are determined by a random number generator.
“The biggest income recovery will take place next year, because we’re going to halve inflation,”
So it will go down to 70% using the government’s fake numbers.
Massa indicated that he will renegotiate the agreement with the International Monetary Fund because it is “inflationary”.
Good luck. And it is really not that inflationary. It’s $44 billion at a lower rate than they could otherwise get. This just seems like he is trying to pull up the IMF as the boogeyman again.
Milei’s push for dollarization is foolishness he seems like a complete nut job but I really wish Argentina could tell the Peronists to fuck off and stop screwing up the country.
It’s a particularly gross Icelandic liquor. Some people enjoy it apparently. Wikipedia says that it has hints of the flavor of fresh rye bread. I strongly disagree.
You could ask Jimmy Joffa. Or any Mexican politician who speaks out against the cartels. Not sure they will be able to answer though since nobody has seen them in a while…
I didn’t start dating until around that age due to some pretty crippling social anxiety. It took a bit to get the hang of things and things were occasionally frustrating but I found my wife in the end. I know it sucks when all your friends seem to have found someone and you are basically just starting out. But friends are still there to be helpful and they generally like to hear dating stories which can be pretty interesting.
Losing weight will likely help you feel more confident which definitely helps. It can also open up more activities for dates.
That would be silly. The only reason that the average body temperature is said to be 98.6°F is because that is what 37°C converts to. Notice how that is a nice round number? It’s actually about 97.9°F or 36.6°C.
How does it feel like it makes sense? Maybe it is because I was alive before cell phones but one side is for your ear and the other is for your voice. Doing this requires you to be on speaker phone which is super annoying in public.
Unfortunately people gain the weight back once they stop taking the drug if there is no lifestyle change which there often is not. A guy I know owned a good chunk of Sequence which essentially fast tracked access to Wegovy through telehealth and working with insurance companies. He was pushing to partner with a company that could provide that lifestyle change info so that people could keep off the weight when they stop using it. Weight Watchers bought them so hopefully they can help provide that lifestyle change.
So far the side effects of Wegovy are fairly standard but it has only been around for 10 years and widely studied for an even shorter period since it has only been on the market for a couple years.
The results for this and Wegovy are pretty promising. That said, the long term effects are unknown since they are so new. But the long term effects of having a BMI over 30 are pretty terrible and well known. These are nothing like amphetamines.
He is specifically talking about people who are able to work from home who are generally employed full time. However he does point to workers who absolutely need to work two jobs to make ends meet as a reason why it should be viewed as okay. That is definitely problematic. Those people working two jobs just to live would definitely prefer to work just one.
Reminds me of the CEO who said working for a company should be viewed as a team sport and you should not help out another team. All while he is on the board of another company. Can’t remember which CEO it was.
Full time employees might have core hours and then flexibility outside of that. Otherwise, you do your work as quickly as possible and then outside of that is free time. Unless they are reusing the same work at two jobs, they likely are not double dipping. If their metrics are fine, there is no reason for a manager to care other than wanting to micro manage someone’s life.
Maybe it is because I have worked in tech oriented roles (which this article is geared towards)but none of my jobs have stipulated number of hours I need to work.
If we are to look at historical tradition, banning concealed and open carry would be okay, registration would be fine, regular inspection would be fair game, and requiring an oath to the government would be fine since all of those were common when the 2nd Amendment was passed. However, I don’t expect the current Supreme Court to consider that aspect though since they clearly cherry picked tradition on abortion rights and referenced a Witch Trial juror to back up their view instead of someone more relevant like Ben Franklin who wrote about common abortifacients and how to use them.
Can it really get worse than most of the shit side quest lines that are already pretty standard? Go here and fetch me this thing and I’ll give you something shiny is already the bottom of the barrel.
I use Windscribe. I initially used it because the free version which gives you 10GB per month was enough for me. Then there was a deal on a lifetime subscription ages ago that I got for like $15.
If anyone wants a year subscription to Speedify VPN, DM me and I’ll get you a key I got in a Humble Bundle years ago that I never used.
They are no more or less reputable than more well known providers. Which providers are you comparing it to? Please provide some sort of source for what you are saying.
Interesting. The murder rate has gone down over the last three decades and the clearance rate went down with it. You would think police could focus more time on solving the fewer number of murders. Or maybe they are just unable to force confessions these days.
Zackey Rahimi, the Texas criminal defendant challenging a federal gun law before the Supreme Court on Tuesday, said this summer that he no longer wanted to own firearms and expressed remorse for his actions that got him in trouble with the law....
You know that half the states had restrictions (no open carry, concealed carry, registration, etc) when the 2nd Amendment was passed and continued to have those restrictions after, right? For something being so clear, a good portion of the states sure misunderstood it…or maybe it’s you that does.
The reason for the law is because the militia was used to defend the US. That changed very quickly when the founders figured out that loosely organized militias were no match to even fight Natives in the Northwest Territory. So the justification is moot now since militias play almost no part in the defense of the US.
No. Well regulated meant in working order which is why people who owned weapons had to register them and have them inspected. Do you have yours registered with the government? When was the last time you had them inspected by the government to make sure you can defend the US as art of the militia?
The right is solely because the founders meant for the US to rely on the militia for defense. That changed very fucking quick because the state militias were uncoordinated garbage so the federal government recognized the need for a large standing army. Militias being our main defense has not been a thing since the mid 1790s. You are a couple hundred years behind.
So I stopped when you claimed the definition of militia was males 17-45. That definition came WELL AFTER the passage of the 2nd Amendment. Considering you started with something incorrect, I’m not so sure I put much stock in the rest of your gish gallop.
I’d say it is more down to the size of the US. There are 330 million people in a country nearly the size of Europe. A country could definitely get a chunk of the US. That would definitely require fully defeating our military which is pretty unlikely. Insurgency can definitely gum things up a bit for foreign invaders but it really takes outside support to actually accomplish much.

Indian Food is praised worldwide and celebrated in countries like the UK and Germany. Americans, why do all your comedy shows rag on Indian food?
In the store, I sometimes encounter containers (e.g., beer, water, shampoo) with a volume of 618ml. Why exactly this number?
While half-asleep, I heard and saw my door creak and open wide. Then when I woke up later, it was fully closed. Is it possible I hallucinated it?
