They sound like 90s grunge to me and I kinda love it. They also sound like teenagers, which is what they are (I think) so, there’s that. It’s like a mix of Hanson, Weezer, and Nirvana. It’s not bad, maybe not great, but what’s with all the hate/love/intergenerational controversy?
In a similar way that numetal emerged and combined existing popular genres, hyperpop is doing that now. 100 gecs sound like every genre of MySpace music fused al la The Fly. It’s a little bit of a meme, but some of it is so good.
Their last album was dedicated to using mostly actual instruments. So that’s where a lot of that grunge sound is from. But dig in, they rule.
ICRPG game last night had me seconds from full character death. Then my bar blew up with us squeezing out last second. Terrifying, hair raising, great fun.
Liberalism isn’t the same as being liberal as in liberal or conservative. Liberalism is based on the ideals of 18th century political philosophers that governments should protect individual rights and liberties and so on. Our whole government sttucture is rooted in this philosophy, and most people who believe in good faith democracy would fall into this category.

Im very scared crime rates are gonna start skyrocketing in 15-20 years in states that outlawed abortion. Essentially the opposite of the trend that hit in the 90s.
Hell yeah. This game was alright, but the soundtrack was so good I accidentally platinumed it. Also those random ass ikaruga segments were so much fun.
I am not a regular gamer, but once or twice in the week I am indulging in some after work gaming. Mostly I enjoy games that are either story rich to put different thoughts in my mind or games with a simple, but enjoyable gameplay (not too much micromanagement)....
Love some “turn your brain off” kinda games. BOTW AND TOTK (altho that one is a bit more involved) are perfect for this. Also love an after work session of some Warriors (not nba) game.
Flip 4 broke when I bumped the hinge in my pocket. Caused the middle of the screen to bubble, and then it cracked down the crease. Neither side would work after that.
The 3 that come to mind for me are Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The Princess Bride. All three are poking fun at their respective genres but also are great examples of the genre. I’m curious if Lemmy has other such examples.
The Venture Bros is the only superhero adjacent anything I give a shit about. Greatest adult animation show ever. Making fun of comic books and old Hannah Barbara cartoons but better and more rich and consistent than any of them.

Do life insurance rules that deny payment after suicide discriminate against those with mental health issues? If those rules didn't exist would suicide rate increase?
Is the discrimination worth it as a deterrent? Or is it just to save the instance companies $$$?

My favorite platform is iTunes, because it lets you download the files for offline viewing, and removing the DRM is trivially simple.
