I know of a SaaS company that charges for their products to end users for a monthly fee. They make significantly more money selling the data of their users to 3rd parties than they do from subscriptions. Also, they figured this out after the fact, it wasn’t a core business component when they launched, but they still ended up raising the monthly fees due to “inflation”.
If those had to all survive independently and couldn’t leech off profits of the parent organization we could have true competition. Instead you just need one super-profitable arm of a company than loss-lead your way into other verticals and out-compete everyone else because you don’t have to turn a profit, at least while the competition is still clinging on.
I’d say season 2 at least kept close to the original premise of being a mind fuck in the park (albeit many parks this time). It wasn’t as good as the original but I don’t think it’s as bad as the other guy says. After that though the whole tone changed so much in S3 that I didn’t even bother with S4.
Ask the people under Nazi Occupation and then Soviet Occupation during and following the war which one they liked more. And that’s not to defend the Nazis, fuck all Nazis, but people preferred it to the Soviets, that’s how shitty they were.
It seems like the will respect TLS, so in theory even if it failed and someone was able to intercept the request at the relay, they wouldn’t have access to the data. That being said"Harvest Now, Decrypt Later" is becoming more popular as people anticipate quantum computing may be able to crack these encryptions in bulk.
Unfortunately I don’t think any of the new electric car manufacturers are unionized. So a lot of these people would lose union gigs and end up with less pay/benefits at a non-union shop. Sire they could unionized again but that’s it’s own battle just to get back to where they started.

This is an incredible write up and really covered the bulk of it. I would say that Hamas should be called out a little more for their atrocities over the years, but you’re right in that they only exist due to radicilzation by way of Isreals policies. This is a case of both sides suck, and innocent people who had the bad luck of being born in the wrong place/time/religion will suffer.

It’s on of those towns that is so corrupt and so delapitated there is really no hope for it. The city of Cleveland tried to annex it about 8 years ago to help restore it, but the city council put in all these weird stipulations to basically cement their power undemocratically and ensure they got lifetime paychecks to the point that eventually Cleveland had to walk away. This year, the Cleveland Metroparks, one of the best metropark systems in the country, tried to take over ownership of one of East Clevelands main parks to help bring it back from the brink, but again the East Cleveland leadership poisoned the pot so much the Metroparks had to walk too. Both of those things would have helped the residents immensely, but the local government just ruined it.

My 13 hour flight just got delayed 7 hours, I’m stuck at my second airport, and I dont think I’m gonna make it. I have some movies and audio books on my phone, but really only anticipated having to burn the flight time via napping and some media, not 7 hours leading up to it, and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna mentally burn...
Yeah not a bad idea, I’ll give it a go. Not normally a sodoku guy but that’s normally because I never have free time to burn, seems like something up my ally.
Maybe it’s worth another shot. I’ve heard great things, played for an hour or so once and never went back. I think I started planting a farm and went into town once or twice and just felt like i didn’t “get it”. I’ll try the witness too.
I did good! Took a lot of these suggestions and it definitely helped. Mostly a mix of airport walks, some physical games, airport lounge drinks and naps, audio books and a couple of mobile games I actually enjoyed. But I missed my connection so as I write this I’m sitting in another airport after having to spend the night here.
