Bread,

The ideal prank. Confuse, don’t abuse! Although illness concerns from putting your face on a heavily handled object.

Bread,

Don’t kid yourself. We know you are the only one who handles that little thing you call an object.

Bread,

Have you ever seen a redwood in person? That is a tree that commands your attention. I hope to see one someday.

James: To unite all peoples within our nation! Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love! James: To extend our reach to the stars above! Jessie: Jessie! James: James! Jessie: Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light! James: Surrender now or prepare to fight! Meowth: Meowth! That’s right!

Bread,

It is a play off the title. It sounds like the team rocket motto.

Bread,

Every console and handheld from N64 backwards is about 62.67 gigabytes. So definitely. If we add PlayStation 1, it jumps to 643 GB. So still possible, just more expensive.

Bread,

From what I understand, there is an option to run transcoding servers standalone. So a single gen 5 pcie motherboard could run two alveo ma35d encoder cards and plow through a ton of encodes simultaneously. It wouldn’t be cheap of course, but in terms of running a media server hosting video, it is not impossible. This is the kind of thing in which groups of people working together would be more financially viable than separate.

Bread,

I am not fond of slang, but even I have to admit it is a fun word. It also has a great meaning. To throw something with great speed in any general direction but usually quite far.

He yeeted his phone out the window when he noticed there was a spider on the screen. It was not the best decision, but it was the choice he made.

Bread,

I refuse to play that game knowing that I have an addictive personality and an unhealthy obsession with maximizing efficiency. It just doesn’t seem like a good idea to give a person with my type of personality the equivalent of heroin.

Bread,

Kobo ereaders work just as well and you can bring your own books.

Bread,

That is 100% what she thought. I have no doubt about it. There are far too many people that come in that accidentally fell on a 12 inch girthy vegetable.

Bread,

How can you tell it was intentional and not an accident?

Bread,

I don’t know why but the title to me at least makes it seem like it was intentional to either take out the defense system or the train. Like a heroic sacrifice.

Bread,

I figured that was the case but I would rather be wrong than assume otherwise and piss off a community.

Bread,

Having had worked one of these jobs, I am all for automating this one. It is hell on your body.

Using Rust, Chrome and NixOS to Take Headless Screenshots for Social Sharing (lgug2z.com)

Found some time this past weekend to work on a little “passion feature” that I’ve been wanting to implement for a while now; sharing the technical write-up for anyone else who is interested in automating headless screenshots with these tools or with others (the knowledge is pretty transferable!)

Bread,

If this guy thinks he can make a better a wheel, I see no reason not to let him try. You never know, there could be a better way that becomes the new standard.

Bread,

I have one exception to this rule and that is Chinese food every other Tuesday. It is one of those places where nobody speaks English so you just know it is going to be good. That and the portion sizes are huge for cheap.

I might die of a heart attack, but at least I will die happy.

Bread,

I would argue a mattress is not a good idea. The risk of Bedbugs is not worth remotely the cost of a new mattress. Financially and peace of mind wise.

Bread,

Can’t say I ever thought they were anything but creepy.

Bread,

The closest I get is a kid named Weed I met.

Bread,

I have plexpass which let’s me use plexamp. Personally I think it is the best feature Plex has. Plexamp rocks. You can sync offline by making playlists and having them download to your phone. It will auto update as you add more. Or just download whole albums.

Although plexamp has an arbitrary 24 limit on downloaded playlists, due to any higher causing issues. However that can be avoided by having multiple smaller playlists.

If you have a Linux server, you can use the features called sonic adventure and sonic sage. Sonic adventure let’s you pick 2 or more random songs and Plex will build a playlist that organically transitions between those choices.

Sonic sage requires you to have an openai api key but basically allows you to provide a vague description of your mood or what you want to hear and it will build a playlist for it. For example “songs that feel like a nice summer day on an early July morning” is a prompt you can have.

I don’t particularly like everything Plex does, but Plexamp appears to be their passion project and it sure does show. It has all sorts of unnecessary but really cool features. Like writing songs, playlists, or albums to NFC cards.

Bread,

One of my least favorite things about my ex is that she hated learning. Like why? The world has cool things, why would you not like learning about ANYTHING? You don’t realize how much it sucks to date someone that is unwilling to learn new things for fun until you deal with it.

Bread,

She doesn’t want to be fed, she wants to hunt.

Bread,

I threw up a little reading that.

Bread,

That’s the thing though. When we schedule those days off, it is more of a friendly notice than a request. I am going, you can’t stop me. If you would rather have to replace an employee and retrain them, be my guest. Its not worth it for them unless you do something easily replaceable.

Bread,

That is exactly what I meant.

Bread,

I agree and disagree. For the average low paying job that doesn’t require any skill or knowledge, a union is the only arguing power you have. However, if you are hard to replace because of skill/knowledge and you know it, the power balances back. You have the power to say no without consequences.

Obviously don’t push it to where the cost of replacing you is worth it for your employer, but you have more power than most realize. Making yourself invaluable only increases your say in how things go. So getting the time you requested off is certainly doable.

Bread,

But for taking their requested vacations? I would highly doubt that for specialized employees. It is very costly to replace an employee like that. Unless the employer is an actual idiot (which can certainly be the case) they know they can’t afford to lose you.

If you work for the kind of employer that fires the very critical person for a job without a great reason for doing so, do you really want to stay there? They probably aren’t a great employer.

Bread,

I agree, I would rather have a Union.

Bread,

I thought that too until we got into deep fried memes. They are usually minorly funny or completely humorless random pictures that have been tossed through the deep fryer. For some reason that makes them hilarious to others.

Bread,

The 80s and I in my twin?

Bread,

KSP2 still makes me sad. I still have the hope they can pull a no man’s sky. The dream of KSP2 is all I ever wanted out of a space game.

Bread,

Hey now, don’t assume we all do that. I don’t need the people I talk to knowing that the only places I go are work, my house, and the Chinese food place every other Tuesday. They might think I don’t have anything to do with my life. They would be right, but I don’t want them thinking it!

Bread,

What an uncomfortable stance. Who gobbles cock without thinking about spinal positioning? I for one am upset just thinking about it. This is how you have back injuries people! A minute of joy traded for a lifetime of problems. smh.

Questions linger after Connecticut police officers fatally shoot man in his bed (apnews.com)

The killing Monday angered and saddened Passmore’s family and raised questions about whether officers could have done things differently. It came as many police departments nationwide have changed the way they respond to certain calls, including those involving mentally ill people — in response to outcries over police...

Bread,

Changing the way certain calls are handled? Considering the current way they are handled, there can’t be much worse than already.

The current flow chart checks to see if the suspect is dead. If they aren’t dead, it goes to “can we change that?”, and then if that doesn’t work it goes to " are you really sure you can’t change it?"

Army private who fled to North Korea charged with desertion, held by US military, officials tell AP (apnews.com)

An Army private who fled to North Korea before being returned home to the United States last month has been detained by the U.S. military, two officials said Thursday night, and is facing charges including desertion and possessing sexual images of a child.

Bread,

Desertion AND CSAM, that is a very problematic thing to be charged of in prisons indeed. I can’t imagine he will have a good time.

Bread,

Subverted my expectations not once, but twice.

WHAT?!? Where will I get my cheap Uranium now??? They are just keeping the little guy down!

Israeli minister: 'We are fighting human animals' (www.middleeastmonitor.com)

Israel’s Defence Minister Yaov Gallant has ordered the complete closure of the Gaza Strip, including a ban on the entry of food, water, fuel or access to electricity as Israel intensifies its bombardment of the besieged Strip in the wake of the surprise attack by the Palestinian resistance. His comments have drawn criticism...

Bread,

They can pop up anywhere. Terrorism occurs when extremists of any type had enough of whatever they are upset about and it pushes them over the edge. Whether it is reasonable or not. Regular people can also be pushed to do terrible things with just the right amount of propaganda and other emotional manipulation. Some people just enjoy it.

Believing it cannot happen to you too with enough pressure and lies is wrong.

Bread,

The others already answered your question, but since you said you thought pokemon games were too easy and you have a steam deck in other comments, I would recommend Pokémon reborn. It is a free fan game on PC. I play it on my steam deck and it is great for it. Just takes a bit of setup and configuration.

That game is challenging if you want something difficult. You really need to plan out your approach as only brute force attack moves will get you nowhere unlike brute forcing a normal Pokémon game.

Do with this information what you must.

Bread,

I am sorry sir, but you have received a lethal dose of banana radiation poisoning. You have about 2 days to live and should start making arrangements.

Bread,

I think it is important to say that they did not start as a centaur.

Bread,

That Pokémon has seen things… Horrible things.

Bread,

I would imagine if it does happen, there will be another reddit style migration. The pissed off leave and everyone who doesn’t care or aren’t upset enough stays.

Bread,

I can imagine a quick loss of circulation in the legs. Dogs are heavy.
