As we all know, Roblox is garbage tier gameplay structured around psychological cues to get children to fill an endless pit with fake money bought with real money....
Not really. It will feel like programming if you already know how to program, but I don’t think it will teach you programming anymore than any other problem solving activity.
I ll start : I have been following a pretty known tech/Linux journalist, and always found he is a fun dude to listen to, with interesting tech takes...
Seeing the other post here about YouTuber that went downhill and seeing content creators I am familiar with makes me sad. But how about those that still makes great, high quality content?
Adobe said it could face significant costs or penalties tied to a Federal Trade Commission probe into its disclosure and subscription cancellation practices.
I only watched the first episode and really didn’t like it. I strongly hate celebrity cameos. It felt like a Family Guy “holy crap, you’re Hugh Jackman!”
I’ve worked for the government both as an employee and a contractor. I’ve also worked for small and large companies. The government was by far better at accomplishing the actual objective / product. The worst government entity I worked for though was a city government. Those are terrible.
Are you on apartment internet by chance? You’ve probably got a double NAT. In which case you’ll need a server, outside the network, that can make a tunnel to your server.
My issue was also knee pain. I could never get my lower quads to relax. Massage gun got them on the first use. They’re also great for trips where you’ll be walking a lot.
like I went to taco bell and they didn’t even have napkins out. they had the other stuff just no napkins, I assume because some fucking ghoul noticed people liked taking them for their cars so now we just don’t get napkins! so they can save $100 per quarter rather than provide the barest minimum quality of life features.
I also think there’s a general lack of QA. Whether it’s a bug or a feature, they’re trying to push things out so fast now that shit breaks even if they don’t intentionally plan obsolescence.
Planned obsolescence is definitely a modern travesty though. It really ought to be illegal
This is, of course, an exaggeration of the both of them. Each has its own use case in which it performs better than the alternative. In truth, I use ubo as much as I use reader view :)
Him being crochety about video games is why he didn’t negotiate for royalties. And after realizing his mistake… He’s still crochety about video games :/
Yes but I’ll still take a Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 remake.
I hope remasters continue for games that are from the era where they relied on specific OS library hacks to get the game running. Those games are hard to run on modern OSs.
I don’t think you understand how zealous C&C fans are. Some of us have entire XP machines with CRT monitors just to play the game in its purest form. We’re about as culty as Linux.
But it’s also not just one program, it’s all the c&c games, their map editors, mod loaders, and any modding tools. World builder is just an example.
Gotta appeal to advertisers that want the normie eye balls.
I hate using the word normie, because these people truthfully haven’t done anything wrong. It’s the advertisers that follow them around like vampires that are the issue.
Your grandstanding is cringe. This is a forum, not a political movement. If you want normie content then go back to Reddit. When I want normie content I’ll use TikTok.
Nope, I just don’t want the place overrun by people who are mostly just around to flame and insult.
Pick up moderating a few large subreddits and you’ll see what I mean. Even on a small sub like /r/Infiniti, I’ve seen a massive increase in people just being pricks, especially after a cross post. Smaller user base makes it less likely.
Like I said in another post, I don’t like using the word normie because it’s not actually descriptive of the behavior I’m talking about, but it’s the word the thread is using.
For sure no disrespect to star trek fans. I’ve just never watched it. I don’t want to block the people I just want to filter out the memes I don’t understand.
I banned my kid from Roblox.... what next?

What groups you are unwillingly associated with? How you handle it?

Why is everything in consumer / American life so fucking shitty now - and companies literally just say 'oh bc profit margins' and we're now expected to swallow that and sympathize?
