The full-scale invasion was loud and unpredictable for mere citizens of Kyiv. The enemy was stopped right at the border of the city and a few squads were even taken out within the city. So there were citizens who saw ground fights right from their windows. This cannot pass without fear.

Here in Kyiv, we start our day with coffee and a donation to one of thousands fundings of drones: big and small. You read the news about how many enemy drones were destroyed during the night, and you donate right away; you watch videos of burning russian pigs in trenches, and you donate while laughing. This is the way.

For a regular US citizen, there may be nothing to see here, but in Ukraine, it’s very rare for the police to use weapons on the street. I haven’t heard a single occasion in all my 37 years of life here in Kyiv.

you could choose your partner by the color of their eyes, and then, after 40 years of life together, you would tell your children the story about how you chose your partner, and you all laugh and no judge. same with cats, IMO. just don’t buy a cat. save its life: adopt a stray one, or take one (or three) from a shelter. I am a father of 3 stray cats, and they are all grateful and loving. my neighbors got this huge mainecoon cat from the store, and the cat is arrogant and rude, they don’t love the cat as a result. the cat is neglected and thus more rude. and he’s constantly I’ll, and they treat him without loving him. baad story.
