Hello peoples....
My GP has given me an Adult "ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS-v1.1) Symptom Checklist" as part of trying to get medication prescribed.
Some questions ask about social interactions, but my answers will be impacted by my ASC1 ( ) traits (Questions 15, 17 and 18 just seem like they would be too rude to do.)
Is that likely to impact my NHS diagnosis?

"This article outlines a chronology for understanding the cultural importance in Britain of this voyage, from the New England chroniclers to the postcolonial critiques of historians today. In between, it offers a thematic analysis of the different groups which could use the story in their construction of morality and identity, from Romanticists and abolitionists to Anglo-American diplomats and civic boosters."

"The Uncomfortable Oxford, the tour that tells the dark side of the University" by María Ramírez (eldiario.es; Spanish)

"The tours have been so successful that the group started with one, but now offers several in Oxford, Cambridge and York as well as lectures and other courses. In pandemic, the tours continued virtually, and now the not-for-profit enterprise is sustainable.

Durand comments that the success of his tours reveals "a clear appetite for complex and nuanced discussions of the past and cultural heritage." He believes that history education, heritage and tourism are three sectors that can be brought together in the public space in a fruitful way".

The #UK government are still trying to get people onto the #BibbyStockholm barge. It is a depraved policy. It should also fail. Here is why:

  1. Anyone with really poor mental or physical health can't be housed on the boat. It is unlawful and can be challenged in court, if activists and lawyers work together.

  2. Anyone who could lawfully be transferred to the floating hell hole would be capable of living in some decent human being's spare room. We already have the infrastructure to make that happen, particularly https://www.roomforrefugees.com/ .

If we think practically the government's cruelty can be made unworkable

Oh look - yet another author who's written a novel, but can't bring themselves to admit this.

After all, 'serious' novelists wouldn't dirty themselves with something as vulgar as that, would they? Who'd invite them to cocktail parties? Long live the Posh vs. Tosh false dichotomy.

THEFTS EXPOSE BRITISH MUSEUM’S ‘RIDICULOUS’ STANCE ON RETURN OF ARTEFACTS, SAYS MP by David Batty and Mark Brown

"Bell Ribeiro-Addy, the chair of the all-party parliamentary group on Afrikan reparations, believes the 1963 law preventing the return of objects such as the Parthenon marbles and the Benin bronzes should be changed.

The museum has been at the centre of an escalating storm that on Friday led to the resignation of its director, Hartwig Fischer. It followed the revelation that as many as 2,000 items from the museum collection had been found to be “missing, stolen or damaged” and that police were investigating."

On July 15, 1944, in Bristol England, the "Park Street Riot" occurred as 400 Black soldiers confronted 120 MPs over pub access. Observers later recounted that locals rooted for the Black troops. Like the Battle of Bamber Bridge a year earlier, this event underscored the racism Black troops faced as well as the disconnect between how they were treated overseas vs in their own country.
