Nah, it’ll do 0-60 in 1.9s, but it won’t have the range to get you to Tosche Station, and you have to take it there for servicing, because Tesla will brick it if you replace the power converters yourself.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office just released the toxicology report, concluding Perry had taken ketamine infusion therapy for depression and anxiety a week-and-a-half before his death.
He died from acute effects of ketamine infusion therapy that he had a week and a half before, but ketamine's half-life in the system is just 3-4 hours and could not have still been in his system a week and a half later. Yet he had ketamine in his system, not from his last prescribed administration, but it was also deemed that he had not been using illicit substances. How did the ketamine get in his system then?
He had been clean for 19 months, but he was still taking Buprenorphine to ween off opiods. Are you normally weening off for that long?
"The contributory factors in Perry's death included drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine effects." None of those are "acute effects of ketamine." Also, wouldn't the drowning be the leading cause? Like it sounds like something caused him to lose consciousness and then he drowned.
Is this article really badly written, or am I just dumb? 0.o
I would probably split it pretty broadly. Pre parents divorce was a great time. Once my parents divorced and changing schools at the worst time really aet me behind socially and I never really found who to be and was generally an unhappy person. Once I went to community college, I learned what I loved and found my intrinsic motivation from within. Post college has been nothing but a success as I continue to be myself, found an awesome wife, bought a house, started a family, and continue an upward trajectory.
Chapter 1: early childhood pre parents divorce (0-9) Chapter 2: childhood to teenage years (10-18) Chapter 3: college, finding myself, and becoming an individual (18-22) Chapter 4: job success, family success, and true happiness (23-32) Chapter 5: starting a family (33+)

It’s not making Turing test obsolete. It was obvious from day 1 that Turing test is not an intelligence test. You could simply create a sufficiently big dictionary of “if human says X respond with Y” and it would fool any person that its talking with a human with 0 intelligence behind it. Turing test was always about checking how good a program is at chatting. If you want to test something else you have to come up with other test. If you want to test chat bots you will still use Turing test.
Domino’s is hardly considered pizza by most but it’s $7 for a 12in. A 18in is $20. That’s almost 3 pizzas. And the 12in has 2 toppings. The 18in has 0 toppings.
On a more on topic note: Lemmy is small. We dont have the population to warrant that specific of a community, yet. I’d recommend starting by joining a community about vinyl, making posts about vinyl care, and seeing how they do. When you’re taking up a significant percentage of a larger parent topics feed, I’d say it’s time to splinter off
I’d just add that we run the risk of being extremely unappealing if we have too many communities with near 0 activity. We’re better served at the beginning having fewer, more general communities, to attract critical masses
Thank you so much! I will make use of this, what you can do with CSS is amazing although not so newbie friendly which I am to CSS, so a user-friendly option to add a banner similar to logo would be good still.
And regarding my suggestion about user engagement, showing how many people are viewing live actually does not work like that, it only shows the number of people viewing it live when the post is brand new/24 hours and when nobody is viewing it, it won't say 0 but simply not be shown at all.
Again that was a mere example, just like the online status was as well, my main reason to mention those things is to possibly spark an idea of something even better that could help kbin, but not really copy what reddit already his, they were mostly just examples of what we could have similarly or just get the thinking process going on there :)
I mean real-time scheduler, not real-time kernel. Found an article that says kwin_wayland uses SCHED_FIFO.
man 7 sched says:
SCHED_FIFO can be used only with static priorities higher than 0, which means that when a SCHED_FIFO thread becomes runnable, it will always immediately preempt any currently running SCHED_OTHER, SCHED_BATCH, or SCHED_IDLE thread.
but decreases performance slightly rather than increase responsiveness.
Responsiveness is not performance. There are 3 main performance metrics: throughput, latency and jitter. Responsiveness is mostly latency, but sometimes jitter. You can for example run game in 30fps with 0.01s lag or in 60 fps with 1s lag. In second case FPS is higher, but, player will feel game unresponsive because of time it takes between pressing button and game showing the result.
The promise I’m referring to, is to “release the code”.
(long version)I understand the thought process of people not wanting to show how messy their pre-production code is… but that’s why, following semver rules, you mark it as a version “0.x.y”. It’s not an exam, it’s nothing to be ashamed of, anyone who’s written code knows that’s how things work, and it’s on the community to be understanding of this, so the “initial dev” of an open source project should feel confident in releasing a tangled mess, no less no more.
Promising the code, then disappearing without giving a community that’s invested in the project a chance to take over, is what I find fishy.
