It’s more of a “learn from other’s mistakes” kind of thing for me. I’ve seen a lot of videos of people doing stupid shit and it being fatal.
Especially in terms of driving. That sub made me a whole lot more aware and conscious of my decisions as a driver. To not indulge in careless choices. It seems like a morbid way to learn a lesson, but when you see the after math - the lesson really sticks.

I thought a sawmill based community would be great as I would love to post some cool videos of things but it never went anywhere on reddit. Guess it’s just too niche.
I’m legally obliged to shill the various crafting communities, my two most used are !knitting and !lemmy_stitch but you can find lots more in the sticky thread in either of those.
