The only CBT i enjoyed a lot, was a grindcore band named “Cock and Ball Torture” in the early 2000s. They were great. Their first album “Cocktales” is wild.
Nobody expects the Rules of Acquisition! Our chief weapon is bribe… negotiation and bribe… bribe and negotiation… Our two weapons are bribe and negotiation… and ruthless profiteering… Our three weapons are bribe, and negotiation, and ruthless profiteering… and an almost fanatical devotion to the Grand Nagus… Our four… no… Amongst our weapons… Amongst our weaponry… are such elements as bribe, surprise… I’ll come in again.”
These always make me happy. I’m so glad I’ve joined Trek people. You put it all back on my radar and are preparing me for a rewatch. Should I start with TOS or jump right to TNG?
They both have their place. TOS is, IMO, best enjoyed the way it originally aired - a fun once a week show. TNG is bingeable after the point where they found their legs with the series.
It can be an acquired taste but I think it’s worth it in the long run. If you haven’t seen Trouble with Tribbles or the one in which Spock confounds AI and makes it destroy itself, you haven’t lived.
I wish there was a series with Colm as Captain O’Brien! But he was in Star Trek from the TNG pilot up to the DS9 finale, I imagine he was sick of it once that finished up.
In order for O’Brien to become a Captain he would have had to become a commissioned officer instead of an enlistedman, and you just know he’d never do that.
