Fortnite is changing what skins can be equipped and where, including real-money paid for skins. Specifically, labeling some skins as not E™ for Everyone™ and only allowing them in non-E™ zones.

People are upset that the cosmetics they paid real human dollars for are going to be unusable where they want to play, defeating the entire point of spending money on a cosmetic.

People are also upset at seemingly arbitrary lines-in-the-sand drawn over which skins dont count as E™, and which do. In a “why is my skin off limits but that skin which is far less kid friendly is no issue?” style complaint.

If you paid money for a skin to look cool in the game you like, and now cant use it in the parts of the game you want to play in, thats a valid reason to be upset.

Everyone expected them to top their last showing, so they over promised to try and deliver on it, ruining their reputation pretty badly.

CDPR ended up with 2077 by trying to overpromise to top its previous success and name maker.

Larian is showing that they understand they are in a very similar position, and need to be careful and mindful as they plan their next project in the shadow of BG3s success.

Tbf, returns was the project the old devs were working on when the sale happened.

  3. leafcutter ants teach each other the neccessary steps for fungal feeding. They do not naturally know how to prepare the leaves. As far as you know is not a far distance, and is not a basis for dismissing an entire branch of the animal kingdom as lesser.
