Things have gotten better and progress has been made from times past, it just seems worse now because we have more access to information. We’ve come far, and have further to go!
Did a game ever delete your save data? Or brick your entire console? Have you ever come across horrific visual bugs? Or scary audio? What are your experiences with glitches?
Cult of tradition, the state enforces “traditional” behaviour, for example suppression of LGBT people, deeply ingrained anti feminist sentiment, and so on
The suppression of any political opponents by the state, disagreement with Putin is treason.
Fear of difference, again symbolised by the persecution of LGBT people and various ethnic discrimination the Russian state perpetrates, can also be seen in some of the state sanctioned rhetoric against Ukrainians.
Appeal to frustration, might be a bit of a stretch but the Putin regime is definitely posturing as slighted or unfairly treated by the world.
Obsession with a plot, rhetoric about Russia being persecuted and nefarious plots being done against Russia are fairly common in state rhetoric afaik
I don’t feel like going over the rest of the list, I listed a few of the points I feel like describe russia well according to Umberto Eco’s Ur-Fascism.
I never put my cc in any password manager, but I also mostly just use it for online payments where I don’t mind taking out the actual card to type the number in
I’m from eastern Europe and those green spaces are usually not very well managed. And they also end up looking kinda sad when you live there.
Rusty playgrounds, plants not managed and growing all over the place in a not very aesthetically pleasing way, completely destroyed or very quickly patched up walkways.
I do think it’s still better than the American suburbs, but it could be so so much better if cities invested more into making these areas enjoyable to be in.
I think this is a very bad idea and leads to bad places.
The culture in China is extremely insular and the Chinese state is very focused on homogenising the country into a single culture.
Should Chinese people be not allowed to move out of China?
I think discriminating on immigration based on ethnicity is an appalling idea, even if it means that sometimes a person from a bad country immigrates to where I live.
I just can’t, and sadly it’s worst in Linux community. Like dude’s face hair makes him look 45, but no, he does a desktop with a cringy looking 15 old anime girl. (That, on top of hiz annoyingly high pitched voice but whatever) I just stop watching the video on the spot, it’s beyond dumb....
Twitter has historically been a place where news organisations, companies, government organisations, etc posted information and announcements, including very important ones.
Maybe if you spent some of that time you spend tweaking settings on midjourney practicing art, you’d make something worthwhile and not just generated content slop. :)

For me it is the fact that our blood contains iron. I earlier used to believe the word stood for some ‘organic element’ since I couldn’t accept we had metal flowing through our supposed carbon-based bodies, till I realized that is where the taste and smell of blood comes from.

Saltwater fish that are generally consumed raw have less parasites than freshwater fish.
There’s also strict regulations about how the fish has to be kept frozen at certain temperatures for certain lengths of time to kill off all parasites.
