pixelscience,

Lol, what? There is no malware in classic shell, or start11 or explorer patcher. Wtf are you talking about?

pixelscience,

You can submit edits to Google Maps. I’ve done it on a handful of roads in our neighborhood and they were approved within a few weeks…

pixelscience,

I guess we had different experiences, these were relatively new areas where the neighborhood was developed after the map and it didn’t seem to be an issue. I suppose the satellite view probably confirmed it easily.

pixelscience,

Could they not have just kicked it over instead of bringing a giant ass excavator?

pixelscience,

Don’t use Fusion, but in most 3d applications that would typically be a Boolean operation to subtract the fins from the circle part.

pixelscience,

Awesome! Mine just bloomed for the first time after almost 10 years.

I can’t help you with the keyboard recommendations, but I just want to say that thing is hilarious. I kinda want to buy one just for shits and giggles when I whip it out at the bar.

pixelscience,

Just found out it won’t work on Google Fi :(

pixelscience,

It’s certainly a bright ass display.

When I’m indoors, pretty much always, I have the brightness set to where the little sun icon is on the left side of the bar.

I can’t say I have any issues outside though, it kicks into the super bright outdoor mode when it’s sunny and everything is great, even in direct sun.

It learns your settings based on the light sensor, so it will eventually lower it down to really dim indoors if you keep changing it.

pixelscience,

Came here to say the same…

pixelscience,

Put a hard stop to the purchasing of homes by corporations/businesses and people with no intention of living in them.

You should need proof of intention to live in the home within a reasonable amount of time after the purchase in order to make the sale. The flipping of homes for profit by those with cash and more money is a detriment to the market and the american dream for the rest of the population trying to get a foothold.

pixelscience,

Good point! That’s a great idea.

pixelscience, (edited )

Sometimes you can just tell something sucks without even using it… All you need to know comes from looking at the fonts and button designs. What car is this?

pixelscience,

The iPhone is not anywhere close to being able to play any AAA titles at 4k with raytracing, what are you smoking? Cause I want some… just cause it’s running at a 4k res with some sort of “raytracing” activated does not equate to anything near what the lame ass consoles can do, much less a PC with a decent GPU. It’s just not the same when it comes down to the rendered frames being compared.

A mobile port is just not even in the same ball park.

pixelscience,

I’m a sync for reddit user who migrated over and one of the things I love about sync for Lemmy is that you can block entire instances. I know it’s in the works for Lemmy in general, but it really helps cull out the weird parts.

pixelscience,

Never had to remove a single phone I’ve ever owned from the case to wirelessly charge.

Why are people hyped about RSS regaining relevance? (lemmy.world)

According to Google Trends, during the past few years, there has been nothing but a few minor bumps that faded away as quickly as they came. I love RSS because i do not have to scroll through dozens of different news sites all day and i would love it to return....

pixelscience,

Such a fun game to play with a partner. It has a great story… My GF and I made it pretty far but she just doesn’t have the controller skills to manage a certain boss fight later game. I’m trying to get her to play other games to get some practice. I’d really like to finish it.

pixelscience,

I use it when I need it to speed up python scripting for CG applications, but I don’t need it on a constant basis. It could be weeks or more between when I’ll dig into it.

pixelscience,

Just use sync, that was a ridiculous amount of text over an app that seems poorly optimized. I can’t even believe you typed all that to be honest.

pixelscience,

I love ruining your group chats!

pixelscience,

I’d pay extra for a windows that has nothing except the settings, task manager and the file explorer.

pixelscience,

I’m a CG artist and I dual boot Fedora on my workstation and run it on my file/license server. I’m very familiar with Linux and it’s great for a lot of things.

A ton of my software runs much better than on windows and I would stay in it if I could, but unfortunately I have software needs that don’t run on Linux and can’t work in a VM in full capacity.

pixelscience,

Haha, I actually am and run Linux on my main machine and other machines in the house, I explained in my other post why I need windows.

pixelscience,

yeah, I’ve done my best to remove it all and have it in a pretty good spot at this point.

My windows install is from 2009 when windows 7 was released and hasn’t been fresh installed since. Hardware has changed 5 times since then and it’s still running like day one.

pixelscience,

I’m pretty conscious of other people financial situations, but a 512GB SSD is 19.99 on amazon. That’s 1/3 the price of the game.

pixelscience,

At some point, the people of Afghanistan should be able to take control of their own country. How can a vast majority of the people sit there and let a tiny percentage dictate the lives and rules for everyone? Kick the Taliban out of your country.

pixelscience,

A year is a long time, what’s the story behind that if you don’t mind me asking?

pixelscience,

Ahh, got it!

What type of RAM does your PC have now? It’s not DDR4-3200 is it? If not, is your CPU compatible with that?

pixelscience,

You could take a threading tool that is reverse threaded and just twist it out.

pixelscience,

I feel like this could be completely avoided if Nvidia would just make a reasonably priced, widely available specialized AI card with no video outputs or game features.

Currently their cards geared towards AI are insanely priced and not very attractive with such a poor price/performance ratio vs relatively cheap gaming cards.

pixelscience,

You can use the scroll wheel to zoom in pretty darn close! Closer than you probably ever need to.

pixelscience,

Yeah, I don’t get why this seemed to be such a huge undertaking. The phone companies certainly know who’s making all these calls on their networks.

pixelscience,

If you are a dude and getting a bit older, then the Panasonic Nose and Ear hair trimmer. It’s like 13$ on Amazon.

pixelscience,

I have no idea what it’s supposed to mean now?

pixelscience,

The fear mechanic in games like Diablo is really obnoxious to me. Having my character run halfway across the screen uncontrollably over and over during a fight is super fun!

pixelscience,

13+ years here, haven’t been back since the API debacle happened and my favorite app Sync went under.

Pretty excited though since I’m new here and just read that Sync is coming back as a Lemmy app soon!

pixelscience,

But part of the fun of FFmpeg is spending two days trying to figure out how to get it to do what you are trying to do.
