I’m currently installing Puppy Linux on an old computer, and everything is working fine, the resolution of the boot selections were looking ok, but the moment Puppy Linux boots the GUI, this happens!!! And I tried resizing from the GRUB terminal but it doesn’t work, please help me, thank you!!
damn, I was thinking on that these days: a way to create a little NAS solution based on Raspberry Pi , but with some SSD/HDD disks attached, not just the SD card XD (however I find the SD cards quite reliable so far in my phone, I would need to try a Raspberry for myself )
I have used YouTube, Reddit and Mastodon for news related to certain topics. Now I want to be more independent in finding my own news sources. However, there are so many sources on the internet I wouldn’t know where to begin to find them by myself.
explanation: I looked into some RSS apps time ago and some apps (found a lot open source in F-droid) just need to search what your interest or keywords and it will find you source of news
Went on a East Coast to West Coast and back road trip last year and stopped in so many beautiful places. My heart is still in Santa Fe but San Juan Capistrano was beautiful as well.
Look, we know System76 laptops are based as fuck. I mean, Coreboot, Open source firmware, PopOS, and a fucking open source mobo in the works, just so fucking based....
It seems like its a perfect distro. Rolling release so you get recent packages and dont have huge upgrades every few months, but not so bleeding edge that it breaks often. YaST is pretty cool but you are not forced to use it. Basic installation gives you enough essential stuff, but its not too bloated. The only thing its missing...
Is it possible? I’m with sh.itjust.works but I saw a few posts who were saying that my instance blocks certain stuff. Now I’m not thinking of jumping ship right this second just wondering if that is a possibility.
please help me, why is this happening?? (lemmy.world)
