Initially I was kind of on her side but thinking about it I can’t really justify it. As long as the establishment is cool with it you’re good. If you’re bringing your own food in that’s a little worse IMO but the main thing is if you’re not spending money don’t create more work for them. Just occupying a seat at a table with a group who’s all buying stuff should be fine.
I don’t have it in me. Music just does not cause me to want to move my body. I can do the line dance ones but that’s just following directions which doesn’t seem to be what it’s all about to me.
You don’t tap your foot, or bob your head to your music?
No, if it’s high energy music it can get my adrenaline up but that doesn’t do anything for dancing or maybe it would be more accurate to say dancing doesn’t help with that. It’s more of a flight of fight response. I’ve tried forcing myself to dance before but it does nothing for me. I just feel like an idiot.
I had an application from someone who had his previous 3 years of work history as “Twitch streamer”. He didn’t even put his twitch name on there so we could look him up. That one went in the bin.
Maybe be able to finally afford a house with all these people planning to leave the country. Other then that hunker down and deal with shit as it comes like always.
Back in the day me and my friends played SSB64 and I was by far the best out of them. They banned me from using pikachu because I was unstoppable with him. I just used the characters I was bad with when I played with them so it would be challenging for everyone.

No, its only a lie if they say they were going to do it without ever intending to do so. If they intended to do it and something happened that prevented them from doing it, it wasn’t a lie. If you’re looking for a reason to be pissed at someone for not fulfilling a promise you still can be justified depending on the rest of the context.
I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds
The problem is the movie didn’t show him returning. Instead they’re just like hey Palps is back! With absolutely no lead up or anything. They should have actually shown the message or whatever it was he sent out to get everyone all worked up in the first place. Then that line wouldn’t have sounded so cheap.
Ok, I might as well go first: I wish I could draw. Not at the level where I could make photorealistic portraits, but I’ve always been envious of those who are able to scetch something together in a few minutes that perfectly captures what they want to convey. Sometimes words aren’t enough to express what I want to say, and...
I’m actually working on switching to a different team where I won’t have to manage anyone else. I’m hoping that fixes some of it because a lot of the people I’m in charge of require a lot of baby sitting and my team is 24/7. Im already trying to lower the amount of effort I put in but if I do much less it makes things worse for my coworkers. I don’t really care about the company beyond not getting fired but I do not want to create problems for my coworkers.
I do understand that. The problem is that my boss doesn’t and when my team fails to deliver something I’m answerable for it. On top of that the company as a whole makes it a pain in the ass to replace people if I fire them so it takes months to get someone new up to speed. It’s a no win situation which is why I’m so stressed out all the time.
The expectations are based off known metrics of what we can accomplish based off years of data. The high performers on my team consistently double the output that is expected of them while also handling escalation of more difficult issues. I can’t just tell them to lower their expectations because the only thing that’s changed is the people doing the work.
Another player who was at the table during the incident sent me this meme after the problem player in question (they had a history) left the group chat....
It takes me like 2 hours to become fully functional after I wake up. Even on days off when I can sleep in. I’d rather get paid for that wake up period than have it during my free time I can’t fully enjoy
It’s only easy if the team is competent and motivated. I can literally hand some people on my team step by step instructions and they still come out wrong 50% of the time because they either think they know better (they don’t) or they’re just lazy. On top of that the HR policy here makes it take 6 months to replace a person and get us up to speed so if I get rid of the shittiest ones I’m still in a worse spot than I would be if I just deal with coaching them all the time. Working on jumping to a new role that isn’t a leadership position because I’m so tired of being responsible for other people’s performance.
Pretty much everyone that reports to me has to be poked and prodded to actually do a good job let alone a great one. It’s not even a hard job, steady easy tasks that need completing with occasional escalations that require white glove treatment. They all know how to do this shit properly but they opt to be as lazy as possible if I don’t keep following up on things all the time. Then they bitch when they get poor performance reviews.
When I started out my limit was less than I made in a month and I paid for everything with it. That was hard to fuck up and helped me build good spending habits. Currently I have one that is about 2x my monthly salary that I use for larger purchases but still the concept remains similar.
