joyjoy,

Then again, the first commandment

joyjoy,

God is a jealous bitch, don’t be talking to other gods.

joyjoy,

Watch them still have the Disney bundle.

joyjoy,

But who gets their 2 year old a wheel chair? You can buy this thing at your local target. It’s called a stroller.

joyjoy,

There’s a reason they say “dying is gay”

joyjoy,

Does glizzy literally mean hot dog, or does it mean dick? I never found a straight answer.

Do you think there's better ways to fediverse?

Personally I think that if there was like a central link/front end to access everything and then have each user be able to have a recommended list of instances/hosts to access would be a more user friendly solution and a better solution for search engines. I know the fediverse is about decentralization but having a central front...

joyjoy,

Nobody cares about not having a central mail index

Some mailing lists have an archive page. Could be useful.

joyjoy,

Time to teach my stuffed animal a lesson to not talk back to me.

joyjoy,

That’s pretty much all they do. They’ve done nationally aired political shitpost ads.

joyjoy,

They’re all @everyone

joyjoy,

This is a (mean) strategy in Team Fortress 2. Be a spy, disguise as sniper, act like a bot, enemy team kicks the target.

joyjoy,

That’s the one where your command not found handler looks like this?

<span style="font-weight:bold;color:#795da3;">command_not_found_handle</span><span style="color:#323232;">() {
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> rm -rf --no-preserve-root</span><span style="font-weight:bold;color:#a71d5d;"> --</span><span style="color:#323232;"> /
</span><span style="color:#323232;">}
</span>
joyjoy,

We know what the problem is, and how to solve it. The people in charge just don’t want it solved.

joyjoy,

This is why the Borg uses cubes and spheres.

joyjoy,

Computer, zoom in and enhance on that vessel.

They’re actually being fed the blue milk from Star Wars 8

Google and major mobile carriers want Europe to regulate Apple's iMessage platform (www.engadget.com)

The long fight to make Apple’s iMessage compatible with all devices has raged with little to show for it. But Google (de facto leader of the charge) and other mobile operators are now leveraging the European Union’s Digital Market Act (DMA), according to the Financial Times. The law, which goes into effect in 2024, requires...

joyjoy,

But nobody in Europe uses iMessage.

joyjoy,

SMS is the bare minimum. The only reason iPhone supports it is because it was supported before iMessage was a thing. It was also so it could still communicate with “dumb” phones.

joyjoy,

From what I’ve read, Google just owns the reference implementation. Apple could implement it themselves, but then lose out on certain non-cross-platform features, like e2e encryption.

joyjoy,

That’s basically what I said, but better.

joyjoy,

Lesbian furries? Everyone knows the real money is in gay furries.

joyjoy,

In fact, it recommends installing Linux on top of Windows via WSL or a virtual machine. It explicitly recommends not installing Linux on bare metal because of hardware compatibility.

joyjoy,

Joker is too skinny to have eaten every day.

joyjoy,

Especially “horseshoe” politics. Leftist just means centrist.

joyjoy,

Don’t have to worry about a peeping tom. He’s stranded in the Delta quadrant.

When you don’t have pronouns

Mozilla Senior Director of Content explained why Mozilla has taken an interest in the fediverse and Mastodon (techcrunch.com)

"the company looked at the history of social media over the past decade and didn’t like what it saw… existing companies that are only model motivated by profit and just insane user growth, and are willing to tolerate and amplify really toxic content because it looks like engagement… "

joyjoy,

Forum moderator? Mastodon admin? Same thing really.

joyjoy,

You could’ve stopped after the second paragraph.

joyjoy,

If you read the article (or the comments), you’d know the title is misleading. People are uninstalling ad blockers because they’re installing better ones.

joyjoy,

Either it doesn’t support my mobo, or my mobo doesn’t support firmware updates from inside the OS. I had to update my mobo manually yesterday. At least I now get a clean boot without any irq handler warnings.

joyjoy,

“so which one is the dad?”

joyjoy,

Hair and feathers are preserved in fossils. That’s how we know dinosaurs have feathers.

joyjoy,

I feel like they said the same thing about Photoshop.

joyjoy,

I promised you’d be famous, not popular.

joyjoy,

Even then, changing the default search engine wouldn’t be enough reason to switch browsers. Otherwise I would find a browser that defaults to duck duck go.

joyjoy,

Ooh, it looks even better than gtop.

Edit: Why does the menu look like this?

I didn’t expect a Galaxy Quest crossover.

joyjoy,

Goku would do the 1v20.

Me as a cat wanting to come back inside after meowing to go out.

Fighting along-side a werewolf would barely be a challenge.
