The reason there are so many IPAs on the market is because they have so many ways to create different flavors with the hop varieties. And yes you can have, for example, two pilsners that have different flavors but they likely won’t have such an insane difference in flavor as a strong, bitter double IPA and a citrusy, refreshing session IPA.

About to enter the same boat, I have the Note 20 Ultra and its on the eve of losing security update support. Don’t necessarily want to upgrade but i feel like i don’t have a choice.

Going to look at something like the Nothing Phone 2, it’s not nearly as expensive as the S23 Ultra (which is my direct upgrade path) but is plenty fast enough and has at least some interesting quirks and features.

Tbh, i could get a used digital camera + a mid range android phone and probably out perform the flagship Samsung.

Yeah seems like it, im starting to think id rather have the “subpar” camera of the Nothing Phone 2 than deal with the Samsung skin (which i end up covering with a launcher anyway)

I have some friends like that, but am currently in the process of making the switch over to signal from Snapchat. The key is once you have a critical mass of people in the group they switch over lmao

Also whenever you make a new gc, for example to plan something, you make it in signal and send them the invite link lol

Yeah that’s what I’ve seen too, I don’t know why he chose tildes? It’s not talked about, like at all. Seems like a big chunk of his userbase came over here

I was being a little cheeky, I get it. I have a personal feed of reddit posts that get pulled from the subs i miss without me needing to visit the site.

The migration will be slow, but hopefully steady! Honestly, the lack of content kinda sucks but its much higher quality and the discussions here are way more personal which is really nice.

I wrote a python script that uses the API (unauthenticated), it’s still in early stages right now but I intend to clean it up over the coming days and then publish it on GitHub – I’ll send you a link when i do :)

Connect for Lemmy has the buttons, but also has these weird animations and they’re slightly different (like they don’t exist for nested comments, just the return to parent button)

Same here but for rif, had to finally uninstall it because it was getting frustrating.

But honestly lemmy content is really fire and I don’t really feel the need to look elsewhere, except for some niche communities. I’m thinking about opening a second private instance that just mirrors the few reddit communities i miss.
