I smoke cigars often, tried a pipe a handful of times over the course of a month not too long ago. They’re cool but definitely more work/ritual than a cigar. Personally, it wasn’t for me but I would definitely say to try out a $10 cob pipe and try and get a sample of tobacco! The aroma of the pipe is far better than any other tobacco product and imo it’s a completely different vibe than a cigar

Do you own one? i bought the phone 1 to use as a work phone and its been pretty stellar tbh. Not something to use as a daily, I’d prefer a flagship for that but the phone has been really good to me

Tbh, i think that any ratings platform is decent once you get an idea of its userbase. I use imdb because i have all my life and I don’t care to figure out how rt does their ratings when i can more or less get a general idea based on the genre what the imdb score says

I dunno, i daily sway/Wayland & game without issues (including game streaming). Wayland gaining mainstream support across most distros (especially something as “slow” as debian) is proof enough that its not the eventual replacement, it is the replacement.

Points about real stuff hiding in a sea of fake stuff aside, because these ais would likely have been trained on images of real children and potentially real abuse material, each new generated image could be considered a re-exploitation of that child.

Of course, i don’t think that’s true in a legal sense but definitely in an emotional and moral sense. I mean look at the damage deepfakes have done to the mentals for so many celebrities and other victims, then imagine literally a minor trying to move past one of the most traumatic things that could have happened to them

How is it hard to believe VLC or hard drives still exist? HDDs remain the most cost effective way to store large amounts of data and VLC is a widly popular open source media player that is often the default media player on linux systems

Not necessarily switching chargers, you can have a charger that lives by your bed thats slow and a fast one that you keep maybe by the couch. Then you wouldn’t need to fiddle with settings every night

Microsoft now has implemented "compare with Bing chat" button when you visit Google Bard in Edge (reddthat.com)

When you visit the Google’s chatbot bard’s website in Microsoft Bing. A New Button pops up besides the search bar which lets you compare bard results with Bing chat’s. I have no idea why they implemented this, well maybe to show off the their chatbot is better than bard or something?

Sounds like you haven’t really taken the time to try some different ones and get a feel for what you might like. Best way to do it is to go to a local brewery if theres one near you and order a flight so you can get like 6 samples.

Hmm I’d say the craft beer market is pretty heavily dominated by IPAs right now, and that could either be because they’re trendy or in high demand. I feel like theres been a heavy IPA craze for a long while now, but it’s definitely been getting bigger and bigger as the craft beer scene has been exploding all over.

Could we be past the peak? Perhaps, but i don’t think so. I personally find IPAs to be the most interesting brews because the flavor balances can be so delicate, which could also be the sentiment with other brewers.

Though i do get not ALWAYS wanting an IPA, especially when you’re trying to knock back a few (or more lol)
