Also, there is no way to actually measure this tight of a tolerance on large parts such as a car, since the standard methods for this tight of a tolerance measurement is… using a caliper, as using automated optical inspection for every dimension isn’t really feasible.

We definitely have lasers that can measure this tolereance.

Didn’t work. I switched to Linux and still no option to uninstall Cortana

Tysytube is great. I also highly recommend OddTinkering for console restorations. They do a great job.

Yup, it’s Good mythical summer right now. So 3 episodes a week. But soon it will be back to every weekday. They keep growing their business and I’ve enjoyed watching it. They have multiple crews and websites now. They have several shows that have spawned from GMM, like that have a whole cooking show (different hosts, but they are all entertaining).

Is it on Android. Do you have a link?

Question: do I have to tag a post as NSFW if I am posting in an NSFW community?

Like, if I don’t tag a post as NSFW does it still show up for people who don’t want to see NSFW? Again, I’m only asking if this is necessary in NSFW communities. I know that I have to tag NSFW content in regular communities. But if I post in a community marked NSFW does it automatically mark the post as such or do I have...

This is most likely dependent on what app you are using to view Lemmy. So the short answer is always mark it if you want to be sure.

@elboyoloco@lemmy.world avatar

Please get a second opinion. Im not a Lemmy expert, but I have seen the different apps providing some vastly different setting for NSFW content.

Unless Lemmy has backend code marking all posts NSFW, but I think that would show for you.

I have to have a computer science degree to install a peice of software… I just wanna double click the installer icon. I don’t want to have to write out some long String in terminal to install software. And sometimes it’s different depending on distro.

I feel like it’s pretty obvious I was exaggerating. There’s just extra steps that I’ve always had to take. It’s never been simple for me. A lot of terminal commands in not familiar with.

Bitwarden is the exact app you just described. I use it. It’s great.

I just found out that not all of my Reddit comments had been deleted despite my profile page showing otherwise. (kbin.social)

TL;DR: even if your delete script confirms a full wipe and your Reddit profile page shows zero comment, there may still be comments left over (that you can find through a search engine and delete manually on Reddit)....

Is this something you would be able to share with others when it’s finished. Or put it on Github and people can make suggestions or changes?

3 things.

  1. Is there a minimum number of users for this to be effective? If so, just keeping you instance under that amou t should work.
  2. Can they really charge someone who is not running the instance for profit? The article states that the social media owner must take “commercially reasonable” action to verify users. Technically, nothing is commercially reasonable if you aren’t running a Comercial business right?

3… Related to 2. The article says “social media companies”. Most instances aren’t being ran by companies… So again this may be an out for those running instances.

YSK: If you want faster and less buggy User experience, move to a smaller instance that is hosted close to you.

I have been using Lemmy for 20 days, at first I opened an account at Lemmy.world because you can join without writing a text and waiting approval. I have been enjoying the experience overall but despite the admin teans best efforts Lemmy.world has been experiencing some serious performance issues. If you want to avoid that join...
