Seriously. It’s never helpful to be smug and condescending about spelling and grammar. When I offer correction, I always make sure to be strictly factual and polite wherever possible, because sometimes people just don’t know the difference.
Whoever says that is incorrect in general, though there are specific scenarios where it is needlessly discriminating and just wrong – such as trying to correct dialects (think color/colour).
Probably a boring answer but I know my grandmother’s credit card information. I live with and help take care of her, so she doesn’t mind sharing it with me. Not like I’m planning to do anything nefarious, but I guess technically it could ruin her financially.
This isn’t saying she got paid after the TikTok – it’s saying the guy didn’t know she wasn’t paid, until he saw the TikTok. AFAIK she hasn’t been paid at all.

As I understand, a significant amount of the employees who stayed are ones who depend on steady work to stay in the country. For these folks, sabotaging their company could ultimately end in being deported. IDK about you but I don’t think that’s the hill I’d die on.
For anyone reading this and legitimately wondering if it’s fair to call a person like this a Nazi, I say this:
The Nazi party was first a political party in Germany. It operated for years before Germany invaded Poland, before they implemented Hitler’s genocidal plans. It gained popularity on the same kind of rhetoric the Republican party is using now: claimed victimization of the majority, and blaming societal problems on unrelated minorities.
German people had legitimate grievances about their lives, and the Nazi party capitalized on that by blaming Jews, gay people, the disabled, and others.
When people say that Republicans like this guy are Nazis, they’re not comparing them to WW2-era Nazis. They’re comparing them to the Nazis that led to WW2, because they are extremely comparable.
Don’t be misled by “gotcha” comments like this one.
IIRC that was true in one school, but it wasn’t to accommodate furries or anything like that – it was to have an emergency bathroom in the event of a school shooting.
The USA Congress is struggling to elect a Speaker of the House. This tweet is making a joke about that, as the poster was able to obtain an audio speaker without hassle.
The point I was making was that at least one of them wasn’t an adrenaline junkie, i.e. the kid whose rich dad dragged him along for the ride. IIRC he hadn’t wanted to go in the first place.
My theory is that reddit just doesn’t make enough money to stay open without external funding, and as they started running out of that they desperately hired anyone they thought could make the company enough money to stay afloat.
And the dumbass ideas we keep seeing from them are the result of that. Anything to get a buck, no matter what it means to the user experience.
According to the article, yes. I think demanding some kind of compensation from LLM companies is reasonable but this feels like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
