You might have a hard time on a pi if transcoding occurs. Use something like pymedusa and couch potato for automatic downloads of tv shows and movies, and something like transmission for a torrent client. They all have docker images. Check out linuxserver.io

This makes me wish noscript wasn’t a game every time I loaded a new site. What a pain in the ass to figure out how to make the site load properly without loading garbage scripts.
Prove it. There’s gotta be some level of logging to maintain the system and performance. Even small levels of logging can give away information. Unless you can audit their system it’s not worth it imo.

The Canadian dollar edged higher against its U.S. counterpart on Thursday but the currency was still down sharply in August as a slowdown in China's economy pressured commodity-linked currencies.

This is what I never understood. Also how can this not lead to issues being compromised downloading illegal stuff from your service provider who knows exactly which customer has which IP at which time?

I always bounce between fluxbox, plasma, and gnome. There was also another one I liked but it was a pain to configure from scratch and it was similar to fluxbox but I forgot the name. Everything is keyboard shortcuts and it’s a tiling manager.
I download everything from a private torrent tracker, and stream with plex. It’s all a pretty well oiled machine. I can use a browser or an app to search for a movie then shortly after I’m streaming to my tv from my nas
I think it’s still cheaper than cable, but I haven’t ever paid for cable. Of those that I know do, I think it’s still around $40/mo for basic services is it not?
Netflix for me is 16.50, disney+ is 9.99, prime I don’t count because I pay for that for fast shipping. So 26.49 a month for my services.
Teksavvy has basic cable with 40 channels and ads for 20/mo. For 6.49 more per month I get no ads and watch on demand of tons more stuff. I don’t get this argument, I think streaming is still cheaper. But it’s not really apples to apples.

Exactly. I think I’m still running my original SSD. I had only one die and it was definitely an issue with the disk, not the writes, since it lasted only a year.

Then the next gen is in for a reality check too like China is right now. No young people to support the old people and we get new problems. I guess all in all none of our systems have ever been perfect.
