Zorque,

Are you a writer for Wormhole Xtreme?

Zorque,

Gotta have a way to effortlessly kill redshirts. Whoops! Another plasma conduit blew out. Poor Gary.

Zorque,

That's what the inertial dampeners are for!

... if they were working

Zorque,

Yes, but there's a disconnect between helping directly and helping indirectly. Listening is indirect help, passive help. It's helping simply by existing, which is antithetical to the above commenters train of logic.

I'm not saying you're wrong, or that it's not something that people should learn to do... but it's not always something you can solve by making that connection.

Zorque,

Robin Hood

(I think it's The Fox and the Hound, but I don't think I've ever seen it)

Zorque,

We've got Beskar Man right there, though!

Zorque,

Ohhhhh, I thought it was next to the other one.

Zorque,

Can always get a game going with the kids. I know a tabletop gaming friend who got some TTRPG designed for kids and taught them from a young age.

Zorque,

Considering how many reps want to emulate them...

Zorque,

Yeah, but he kept trying to privatize Stargate command. Kind of a dick move.

Zorque,

O'Neill. Two Ls. There's another Colonel O'Neil with only one L.

Zorque,

You'd rather eat a stove top than homemade dressing?

Zorque,

I guess you get your daily dose of iron, and then some...

Zorque,

Its all those scrobbles.

But I agree, last.fm was the last streaming music service I ever used regularly. Everything else just seems to have such shitty suggestions comparatively.

Zorque,

I think he's president of whatever space confederacy that's formed in that universe.

Zorque,

The destination is rarely the point of most high-concept sci-fi. Rather, the journey is what is important.

Zorque,

Star Trek canon is littered with abandoned species that could have had interesting follow-up stories. These were far from the most interesting.

Zorque,

Rom figured it out? This is a new low...

Zorque,

It's not a redemption arc, it's a people forgetting it exists except for those who want mediocre resource accumulation simulators.

Zorque,

🎶The slimiest Cola in the Galaxy🎶

Zorque,

Maybe that's where Hunter Biden's laptop ended up.

Zorque,

Would a straight man bring a disruptor to their first date with a woman?

Zorque,

My inability to experience joy and save it to my long term memory.

Zorque,

I thought it was the one like Farscape.

Zorque,

Is the planet rent controlled?

Zorque,

And kind of a dick about it, too.

Zorque,

It was even more insidious than that. It wasn't about self-preservation or selfish need... they were so brainwashed they considered it good to tell on others as a matter of course. One of the secondary characters is even proud of his own children for turning him in for talking in his sleep.

Zorque,

I wouldn't call her cruel. Misguided? Sure. Megalomaniacal? To a degree. But not cruel. As you say, she considered it a kindness.

Zorque,

Oma did all those things. They did none of it. She was literally the only one who ever did anything. All they did was ignore Oma and Anubis and Daniel.

Now when Morgan LeFey was trying to help the gang with the Ori, they gave her a proverbial bitch-slapping.

Though, really, their non-interference was basically an application of the Star Trek Prime Directive. Basically the same kind of thing we recommend when dealing with nature, make as little impact as possible. Its only as cruel as nature itself is cruel.

Zorque,

I'd play it if I could, but it crashes every time I try to launch it (game pass on PC). It might be that my computer just isn't good enough, I think I have the exact same specs as the minimum.

Zorque,

They made a comment about general SNES RPGS, not Chrono Trigger specifically. Unless they edited it, I don't know if the fediverse has edit warnings for some instances.

Zorque,

Which is fair, most people tend to exaggerate on the internet. But the average does seem to be around double (or more) of SMRPG, and while that's not a metric you seem to care about, it is one that others care about.

Can you at least agree that it's short for it's genre/platform? Even if it's not by the hyperbolic degree one person has thus far stated?

Zorque,

Self-sealing stembolts.

Zorque,

The problem is it's just a phrase. You can keep repeating it ad nauseam, but unless it comes with actual strategies to complete a goal... it's as meaningless a phrase as all the rhetoric that right-wingers throw around. And they're much better at it.

Zorque,

Eat the rich and more rich pop up. It takes more than just "let's get rid of who we think the sole problem is and everything will turn out fine". The rich didn't just appear from a vacuum, they've accumulated power and wealth for centuries, if not millennia. "Eating the rich" would require vastly more fundamental changes than just grabbing goods from the nearest billionaire and tossing at "the poors".

Zorque,

Then re-release it for the next several decades.

Zorque,

Theres a ton of BBC adaptations, I believe. I know of at least Going Postal and Hogfather

Zorque,

You not liking the first movie means other people didn't go? Who are you to have such an enormous effect on the cinema going audience...

Zorque,

Right, they're inferring that their opinion was universal. There was a lot of controversy @urrounding the movie, but it had little to do with the quality and a lot to do with peoples inability to remove personal biases from their viewing experience.

Zorque,

Yours, more so ;)

Zorque,

I do not think that word means what you think k it means.

Zorque,

Only in the context of the truth.

Zorque,

It's not terrible, it's just incredibly underwhelming. It's a movie where occasionally things happen. Sometimes fantasy things happen. But somehow in the most boring way possible. Eventually the movie ended.

Zorque,

How far did they take the teen drama aspect of it?

Zorque,

I mean, Ben Affleck was da bomb in Phantoms, yo.

Zorque,

It'd be nice if we didn't have to pigeon-hole ourselves into one skillset in order to survive.
