They’re implying that people who got hit by one of the other two vehicles in the image are not alive anymore to comment about getting hit by it, hence they got silenced.
I don’t think that’s a problem with the whole cuisine but maybe with the specific place? Because food poisoning being common with the whole cuisine would be a terrible thing for all the people who eat that daily.
Idk about much more spurious reason, could just be a specific mod thing that you came across on here but not on reddit. I could be wrong but I don’t see any reason lemmy would be worse on this metric.
I’m not sure how accurate StatCounter is, given that most Linux users use adblockers. However, according to it, Linux has almost a 14% desktop share in India.
I don’t buy the piracy thing either but your proof is bad because there are so many Indians that they will always overwhelm in sheer numbers even if it’s a small percentage of the whole population
If they booked him for stealing, they’re granting him personhood, and if they continue to claim that he’s their property after that wouldn’t that mean it’s slavery and hence illegal and so they should be dishonourably discharged and booked for slavery? >!(I haven’t watched much of Star Trek, just basing it on other conversations I’ve seen on this topic and overthinking is my pastime)!<
I’m surprised by the number of workaholics that exist, like why do you want to work so much? Go explore the world, learn things, make things, but people want to work instead?
Hey, not knowing something isn’t wrong. It isn’t illiteracy to not have read whatever that is related to, remember the xkcd comic on today’s 10,000. I also only read the quote on lemmy.
Yeah, I was responding the same as how others are trying to look at it from an actual leftist perspective, but you’re right about the artist’s intent most likely
Then I asked her to tell me if she knows about the books2 dataset (they trained this ai using all the pirated books in zlibrary and more, completely ignoring any copyright) and I got:...
!I expect that to happen, but I don’t think we have artificial intelligence yet, I hold onto that. As someone else commented we’re on the calculator portion of the language tree but using language has always been what separated us from other beings so some people thought of it as the proof of intelligence but it never was. It’s much easier to design something specialized than something actually intelligent (much easier here still means very fucking hard) but some people have gone onto calling this narrow intelligence and if it can do!<
As I was writing the above crossed out comment I did come to see your pov more closely and I guess in a way you’re right, if we consider it narrow intelligence in terms of understanding and using language, because it is really good at language tasks but we expect artificial intelligence to be perfect for some reason and idk if that’s right or not and that also might be what bothers you about the shifting goalposts.
I’m curious about what they mean by that? Coz I haven’t heard of anyone being blocked at all, but not only that I have not seen anyone have any issues for asking such questions. What they might have meant is the chat ended? If they actually got blocked that’s entirely new to me and I would like to see some proof.
I read that and I assumed they meant blocked from continuing that specific conversation not that they couldn’t start a new chat and bring that topic up again
Again, if someone enjoys it or wants to do it that way, more power to them but if someone wants a common interface for most things without learning the specifics of something and the commands for it then they’ll want a good gui, if it’s not available they’ll end up cribbing about it.

Aah, yes, that does happen. I personally think it’s a result of trying to apply their lived experience to a place so separate from theirs it might as well be a different continent (/j)
It’s an issue with the whole internet tbh, we as a society might not be as used to a global world as we’d like and that creates friction and troubles even when we agree on the larger point.
During covid times I heard many interesting conspiracy predictions such as the value is money will fall to zero, the whole society will collapse, the vaccine will kill 99% of the population etc. None of those things have happened yet, but can you add some other predicitons to the list?...
I have heard that the banana candy flavour is based on that and have really wanted to try it ever since and I hope we can preserve it for future generations too.
