There was an even bigger benefit that most people maybe didn’t realise at that time or even now, but when the phone fell that energy got distributed into the parts flying apart, which used to reduce the damage the phone took
To this end, one of the pixel phone launches had a website with a really good background idea, which was looping so nicely on the website that I thought I’ll download it and use it myself but it loops so badly on their own bedtime sounds in the clock app and ytm that it’s just a terrible experience, I never tried it in VLC though
Suppose you win 100 million. What do you actually do with it? Banks only guarantee 250,000. Do you have to invest it? Is there anywhere you can just let it sit and draw interest?
Invest in my people (friends and family), especially the ones I care about. Not exactly a win win but it’s basically a wash in the worst case and a super win in the best case.
If they succeed in their endeavours, I get partial ownership in it or it can be a loan (whatever they prefer) and if they run away with the money, it’s a cheap price to pay for setting up someone I cared about with a better life and finding out they were not trustworthy.
Also, if spread around enough, there will be enough people who will be thankful to you for improving their lives that they’ll be there for you for a lifetime.
This is all after you do the usual investments with some amount and also keep enough aside from any ideas you want to try to bring to fruition (you’ll want to do something at least after all)
They felt smoother, maybe that’s what they meant, but for all the good that did, I started hating Microsoft even more because of how they treated the users, instead of giving updates requiring you to get a new phone for a new OS
The problem with that is you’re bunching so many phones together based on their OS when their security is dependent on more than that. I’ll admit I’m unaware of the current situation but Pixels for example have been more secure than the iPhone in the past and are still considered secure in general, no idea about how they compare to an iPhone.
Also fwiw Google can still see what you write if you use their keyboard (or OS, but I can’t bet on that, and their software being able to see it doesn’t mean they record it, just that they can)
I agree with you that subscriptions can be useful in making things affordable for people in general but companies instead set the price at a level where it’s barely less expensive and if you pay for a year or two it ends up as more than you would’ve to outright buy the software or at least from what I remember of Photoshop pricing was that
Have to use Windows for work (I’ve asked), the ads have been getting worse and worse on my work laptop. Today got a game ad notification… That’s clearly too far, right? Like I have to clear notifications, so I have to see it
My mistake for not being clear, I meant having an interface that’s well suited for a tablet. Though I should probably think more about the apps than the rest of the DE.
I feel like no desktop OS maker has nailed transition to touch screen devices, but I have only recently gotten my first x86 tablet and have only used windows on it, so my experience is limited and I’m only judging from screenshots I have seen online.
(I guess steam OS can count as decent enough, but it’s not available yet outside of steam deck and it’s gaming focused)
P.S. I honestly would be happy with an iPad if it were not so limited and more non-mobile games were available for it
I’m reading all the suggestions (one tab, bookmarks, pocket, so on) and thinking I do that, I do that too, only to realise this doesn’t solve my problem, only spread it
I am hoping that someone can make an AI tool to go through all the videos, articles, etc and create various notebooks/scrapboards for me out of related content among all of it with how spread out all my stuff is
