Protondb is a hugely useful site (okay, maybe not that huge but it’s great)! There’s WineHQ for Wine but it’s kinda… a little creaky, if you know what I mean. Doesn’t seem to get much attention.

Protondb, on the other paw, has lots of useful info from a quick-and-simple “how likely is it to work?” indicator to “Here’s what I had to do to make it flawless” reports from users. VERY useful! wiggles emphatically! (also it splits reports between PC and Deck)

Oh, also GloriousEggroll’s Proton fork is kinda great, for critters who like to faff about with stuff as I do: github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom Dunno if that’s of any use on Deck though.

Isn’t that what sca- uhh, I mean super legit game devs normally do? Suddenly the scope was neeeever that big! You just think you remember all’ those claims that are still visible! No one actually said things you can prove they did!

I feel like this has happened numerous times already and somehow it surprises people every time. Like, there are channels on YouTube that only cover this sort of thing and have days of content.

Edit: Okay, I really need to stop posting things right after waking up. I’m sorry; I hadn’t read the article. Hadn’t realized it focused on those. I suppose my answer still kinda works, though. Partially sarcastically, maybe. Bring back 60s/70s fashions to troll the clothes-banners and expect them to chill? I’m having a really hard time caring about other people’s clothes at the moment and don’t see why people think they have a right to dress others.

Sooooo uhhh, asking for a me, how does one preheat an air fryer? I feel like the one here cools off pretty much instantaneously once I open the door on it. Luckily the manual mentioned that I can just add three minutes to suggested times to skip preheating so I just do that 🤷‍♀️

Like, damn, I’m pretty sure Stamets isn’t gonna beam into these people’s houses and force-feed them food cooked in a non-preheated oven. Maybe, I guess, but just stun him with a phaser if he tries it? This really seems like a non-issue of one person’s preference that doesn’t need a whole community piling onto it.

The person who pays “full price and no more” in this case is @Shayeta… who was just suggesting that the price be increased so the “more” is in the price. “Full price” is whatever the shitty owner says it is, not whatever the product or service is worth and definitely not what the customer thinks it’s worth.

So $10 plus a $3 tip is “paying extra” to you people but you’re gonna happily pay the same shitty owner $15 “and no more” for the same meal literally because they said so. I think the clearest I can be is to point out that they’re offering the “extra,” just exclusively to the owners and never to the workers.

Now I’m wondering whether it’s some shamefully covered-up phobia of maths or just licking some capitalist footwear under the guise of a kind of false consumerism.
