Ohhhhh that makes more sense. I’ve always seen the trail stuff in the sky for most of my life, just didn’t ever ask why that’s there and what made it. I’ve never been able to look closely enough to see what was causing the trail.

Most people speaking a certain language don’t view it as gender gender. They view it as grammar. They usually view it as “this word changes the end of the adjective to ‘e’ instead of ‘a’” or whatever rule your language has.

Gender in languages aren’t just, “that object seems female” or “that object seems male” because they are many rules that change the gender of the object even if it looks “manly”. For example, in Punjabi, there’s a rule where if the noun has an “ee” at the end, it will be feminine regardless of its characteristics because the sentence flows better that way in Punjabi.

Languages just have gender because it sounds easier to say/flows nicely, rarely actually because they think a certain object has an actual gender.

If you want to try to learn how to know you’re dreaming while in a dream, you can check out !luciddreaming. I’d mainly suggest you check out r/luciddreaming for learning to lucid dream (has loads of info for learning + has been around for over a decade and has a bigger userbase). Beware of YouTube videos though, as they spread misinformation. I’ve lucid dreamt a handful of times and it’s pretty fun!

I wasn’t wondering about the appeal. I got that. I was wondering how people don’t go blind since looking at the sun can make you permanently blind. I realize my title was worded pretty badly.

Oh ok, so we usually look at everything else (like the colours and stuff) + glancing at the sun for a few seconds is fine + the sun is less blind inducing during dawn and dusk (from a different person’s comment). I think I understand this now, thanks!
