“New Kia cars are not being released to Ontario dealerships — and reportedly many more across the country — to sell. Instead, they’re being stored on this compound, 30 kilometres south of Kitchener, Ont. and allegedly on other similar compounds across Canada.”
An ethnicity or ethnic group is a grouping of people who identify with each other on the basis of perceived shared attributes that distinguish them from other groups. Those attributes can include a common nation of origin, or common sets of ancestry, traditions, language, history, society, religion, or social treatment.
It’s possible to be racist towards anyone. If you’re white go spend a couple of months in China and you’ll understand that after being told by multiple people that intelligence varies by skin colour and white people are in the bottom half.
I wouldn’t be so sure, I’ve been in arguments with a whole lot of people that were arguing that racism against my nation is impossible because it’s mostly white…

Domestic cats are descendants of a specie that was native to the fertile crescent so unless you think that feral colonies appeared by magic then yes, cat owners are 100% the people that should be blamed.
New studio, they had to get financing from somewhere, worst case get the director’s cut upgrade whenever it’s on sale, it cost me 5$, so I got 100h of gameplay for 5$.
As I said, no ads in the director’s cut and otherwise, new studio so gotta get funding somehow… They didn’t use a funding platform as far as I remember
There are many models under 35k after incentive, add to that the fuel economy and if you can afford to pay 35k + gas for a car, you can afford 40k after incentive for an electric car, especially if you plan on financing it, saving 2.5k a year in gas for five years, that’s 12.5k saved in total.
They could all buy a Mitsubishi Mirage for under 18k if that was an issue.
I think people underestimate others’ financial means (and what will be their own financial means when they’ll be in their 40s/50s).
In my 20s I could barely afford to keep my car running and was finding it expensive to pay 300$ for my apartment shared with two friends, in my late 30s I can buy a luxury car if I want, my job doesn’t require more than a high-school diploma and I live next to Ottawa.
But most non luxury manufacturers sell cars under 25k, they mostly sell to young people, as they get older they buy more expensive cars.
You think the regular Golf got discontinued even if it was selling? No. Sales had been going down for a long time now, but look at that, the Jetta is still available, so maybe people just didn’t want the compact hatchback but demand was still high for the compact sedan!
Take the Geo Metro in 95, base model was 10k back then. With 2% yearly inflation that’s… 17 000 today! Will you look at that, same as the available equivalent, which is the Mirage!
A Senate bill that would require Canadians to verify their age online before accessing porn is moving through the House of Commons without the support of the Liberal government.
At the same time it’s 18+ content and there’s currently no verification being made. When I worked in a corner store my boss would have been charged if I got caught selling cigarettes or booze to a minor, same thing could happen with porn movies when I worked in a movie rental place.
Now it’s 68% of people 13 to <18 that say they’ve watched porn on the web with the majority seeing it for the first time at 13… Now think about the kind of videos you see when you’re watching it and ask yourself, is that really what you want people that are in the middle of their development to use to learn about sex? Women choking on a dick, taking it up the ass, banging their step bro or step dad, people fucking others without their consent while they’re stuck somewhere…
Try to remember your level of maturity at that age…
They were knowingly hosting CSAM and revenge porn until not too long ago… Funny how the FBI is investigating it but as far as we know nothing’s happening on the Canadian side…
Quebec an horrible place for anglos to live? Makes you wonder why more Ontarians move to Quebec than the contrary…
Montreal, Gatineau, Sherbrooke and the cities/towns around are all places where you can spend your whole life living 100% in English even though it’s not an official language. Find me the equivalent for French Canadians in a major city in Alberta.
Bilingualism in Quebec is at something like 90% for people who pursue post secondary education. How’s bilingualism in your province going? Just a quick reminder that there’s two official languages in Canada so it would only be logical that people be bilingual even if English is their first language, wouldn’t it?
The only way you can say funding is similar is if you ignore everything else but provincial funding (and even then it’s close but English universities still get more per student). McGill is the richest university in Quebec with over a billion dollars in its purse, in the meantime the UQ is struggling to find enough money for the students it has.
Donating to one’s Alma Mater isn’t part of French Canadian culture like it is for Anglo Canadian’s, there’s a whole lot of historical reasons for that, but the point is, it’s McGill that receives 200m$ from an ex student, not the French universities.
The tuition policy affects ALL universities, not just the English ones.
Sure, students should go to university for free, but that’s another debate and that’s an issue where Quebec can’t be singled out. There’s also very little reason to give free education to people who will then leave the province that educated them and that will therefore not pay taxes to reimburse what they cost the education system. Because let me remind you, education is a provincial responsibility.
Then check your account on the government’s website because you’re supposed to get a financial compensation that’s high enough that you can drive 15k km and heat using oil and still come up ahead.
Complaining that you don’t get it and blaming the government and pretending it’s fake (I checked your history, it’s at least the second time you complain about that) instead of trying to find out if/why you don’t get it, that’s on you buddy and you sure look like the kind of guy that’s all about people’s own responsibilities (again, from your history).
Did it at the gym once, was watching a show while doing cardio with my headphones and could hear another guy’s music over it. I just yelled without stopping what I was doing “Hey bud, no one wants to listen to your music, use headphones!” and the guy could see everyone’s smirk, he got the message.
We had that happen to us the other day, it was announced a series was available dates X to Y so we figure “Ok, it’s the last day, they’ll pull it at midnight, we’ll just binge it”…
Shoutout to a local cooperative that’s basically used by farmers to launder money and that stays afloat by moving numbers around to manage to have access to government funding and that hires overqualified workers to do shit work because they get subsidies for techs but not for labourers!
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the Conservative party has been successful at "scapegoating" the carbon price as the reason everything is more expensive.
What I’m saying is that this tax benefits them because they receive a cheque to compensate and unless they own a business that needs to burn petrol then they’re receiving more than they’re paying.
It would only be fair that if people are now exempted from the tax, they shouldn’t receive the cheque (just like the people living in provinces that already had a carbon tax or equivalent in place don’t get a cheque from the federal government since they don’t pay the federal tax) and maybe then they would realise that they were complaining about something that actually made them richer!
Not only that, so far every place that has removed their local tax has seen prices go back up as the industry just raised its prices to compensate, easy profit for them because the majority is simply uninformed and believes the tax is to blame even if it doesn’t exist anymore.
The data found about 68 per cent of car shoppers in 2022 who did not own an EV showed an intent to purchase one, but that dropped to 56 per cent this year.
It still doesn’t mean it’s one of the main reasons why sales are down, which is what you implied at first. Proof of that? Gas cars have the same kind of tech, people still buy them.
Taxes are an issue for people that aren’t already rich enough to not care and the people actually hoarding residences and leaving them empty are in that category.
It seems like a lot of people have a very hard time understanding the governments division of powers and I think it’s a very big problem because it gives the provinces a free pass for many things as people blame the federal government without realising that they don’t have the means to solve these issues…
Cities aren’t even political entities from a constitutional perspective, they’re fully dependent of the provincial governments and are called their pets, so guess who could force them to increase density? Not Trudeau!
