Buy Nothing is a free app and various location specific Facebook groups where people give things away free. You can also post requests for items. It’s to reduce unnecessary consumption and to prevent things going to the landfill. It’s been great and also builds community. You can only join for your location. I just use the app now but the fb groups are much more active.
