GRENADE_MAGNET,

I’m going to go with Satisfactory.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

We’ve spent Trillions to counter Russia overvthe decades.

To support Ukraine in a proxy war that weakens, destabilizes or destroys Russia where no American soldiers die and we get to test out our arsenal in a real world scenario is a worthwhile investment not to mention the moral and humanitarian aspect.

Do we have problems at home? Yes but that’s never been a good enough reason to reduce military spending.

I do think the military budget is out of control and more money should be appropriated to the issues that matter like healthcare but at this moment in time we should absolutely continue to support Ukraine.

We are the world leaders and other countries follow. We can’t let our support erode. We can’t let Russia win this one.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

You took that in a broader sense. What I specifically meant by that was noone would provide Ukraine with tanks unless the U.S. offered them first.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

Ok, you have to try them with President brand butter. It’s a cultured butter from France. It’s the most buttery tasting butter my tastebuds have ever tasted. It’s all I buy now.

I’ve seen it at Publix and Walmart. If you can find it give it a try. It’s better than Kerrygold.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

I’m definitely feeling this.

My schedule makes it hard to play online with people I know and I hate playing with randos.

I switched to single player games on easy mode just to be able to make progress and get through some of my huge backlog of games.

It is starting to feel a little forced though.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

I get your point but at this point I get more satisfaction simply progressing and completing rather than overcoming harder difficulties. It’s a trade off I guess but I have a huge anount of games I haven’t even played so I guess It’s quantity over quality given my free time and that’s ok, I can change the difficulty back at any time but yes, I’m sure it impacts the enjoyment from the gameplay itself.

Are you me?

The green onion teriyaki sauce is fantastic. I mix it into ground turkey and make burgers on the grill.

On the sauce tip we’ve gravitated to SBR. It’s dark and smokey like bulls eye but sweeter.

For chicken I really like grill mates sweet and smokey rub

GRENADE_MAGNET,

Don’t forget French’s crispy fried onions.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

Didn’t think of that but damn you’re right!

GRENADE_MAGNET,

It is at sunset but I think the term is due to them appearing opposite of the sun. This pic was taken facing East with the sun setting in the West.

Crepuscular rays are a thing too but appear in the same direction as the sun.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

Nice! I caught one in the morning once.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

Me: Had to google Quilcene River

Also me: Born and lived in WA for 28 years

GRENADE_MAGNET,

It kind of sounds like you’re describing bipolar disorder. These cycles of up and down.

You said this low period always happens right after your most creative periods. Depressive cycles typically last longer than the manic phase which is what you described.

Not a doctor obviously but I lived with it undiagnosed for a very long time. Maybe read up on it and see if it fits your experience.

Whatever it is I hope you find some relief.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

I’ve owned probably 15 vehicles. No Mazdas. We just went from a 2012 highlander limited to a 2019 cx-9 GT with 25k mi for around 35k.

Man, what a nice ass car. I honestly never knew. Tons of features and thoughtful details. Dollar to value we’re very happy with it.

Might turn it in for a cx-90 in a few years.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

99% sure that’s a fly mimicking a bee, not a real bee. Bees have 4 wings and tuck them in when at rest.

That makes this fetish even weirder.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

Heres one I found that looks similar:

Flower Fly

There are quite a few different ones out there across the globe. Pretty interesting.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

Luckily she was made out of cake.

What was your first experience using Linux? How old were you? Stick around or did you go back to windows before eventually circling back to Linux?

I’ll go first, I took my mom’s college textbooks which came with discs for a couple distros and failed to install RHEL before managing to get Fedora Core 4 working. The first desktop environment I used was KDE and despite trying out a few others over the years I always come back to plasma. Due to being like 12, I wanted to...

GRENADE_MAGNET,

I have an old hp mini netbook with an atom processor and 1gb RAM. I needed something light to run on it so I put Lubuntu on it.

It was fun dabbling in it and getting everything to work but I haven’t really messed with it since.

I was probably 40.

I run Win on my main pc only for gaming really. Maybe if linux gets better support I would consider switching over.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

I had the same issues and tried the same things. I updated memmy today (the only one I’m really using). Logged back in and It’s working again so far.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

In a perfect world. I work a 12hr graveyard shift and flip to dayshift schedule on my days off.

You need to do it in a structured way. Get home, nap a few hours, go to bed at a normal bedtime, wake up, a dash of adderall. Good to go.

GRENADE_MAGNET,

I’m with you. Similar age and all that.

You’re on the right track and doing the right things.

I would just say the process of finding the right medication(s) can be a long and frustrating process but very worth it in the end.

You try a new med, you have to titrate up to treatment dosage (weeks) only to find It’s not right, some meds you need to titrate back down before you can try the next one. Just to try out one medication could take a month or two not to mention usually monthly specialist visits. People get burnt out and lose hope that anything will work.

It might have taken me a year to land on the right combo so if you go the medication route be patient until you find the right one.
