From September 2023, we will be gradually rolling out our new unique search offer. This will happen over several months and won’t apply to everyone at the same time. This means that when you search through Ecosia, we work with either Microsoft Bing or, with your consent, Google to provide you with search results and ads. In...
I just discovered this amazing app! It lets you remove (or just disable) preinstalled apps like Facebook, Netflix, etc. and system apps like samsung knox apps, diagnostic, bixby, and even One UI (but you must have installed other launcher). You can’t brick your device, worst case it falls into a boot loop and after 5 reboots...

Does nord ever feel too low-contrast for you? I recently switched from nord to one dark for that extra bit of contrast. It makes it easier to read on those long coding hauls
On my desktop I use Gnome with Arc-Dark everywhere. On my laptop, I use LabWC with a custom one-dark theme that I wrote. Oh, and Phinger cursors on both

I’d like to start a discussion about TV privacy in 2023. I’ve never been interested in having a TV, but recently I was thinking of getting one. Looking into it, the privacy implications seem horrible. All the major brands seem to have cameras, microphones, and content recognition software. I can’t believe how dystopian it...
For a long time, I’ve just put on DejaVu fonts and been done with it. Generally good enough Unicode coverage for me. But I know it’s been years since DejaVu’s been updated, and I wonder what’s very common today....
I learned to never settle. If you don’t like the default workflow of Gnome, try some extensions, or even a different DE. Same with Package Managers. If you don’t like the syntax, make an alias. Don’t just “deal with it”. Windows has brainwashed people into thinking that there is only one way to do a thing.
I’ve installed arch Linux and liked it, but lfs and Gentoo would be too time consuming compiling everything and not doing anything during and after install. Are there any distros like arch that don’t have me compiling everything?
I love the idea of having privacy in independence from all the tech giants’ services. I have a server at home that hosts my storage, media, synchronization, and backups, along with some other random services. Since all these services are basically my life, I sometimes read about better security practices to replace whatever I...
I went through a similar dilemma. My solution (take with a grain of salt) was to take a 1 month break and learn all of the stuff that I didn’t understand. When I came back, I found that less articles went over my head, and I actually understood them. Just some advice :)
