BarrelAgedBoredom,

Set up a couple misters and fans and you’re golden

BarrelAgedBoredom,

I like to see how many miles I drove for work everyi month. I drove 2400 miles so far in December

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Realizing now that I don’t remember any of my passwords haha

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Hobbies? Travel? Construct the revolution?

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Seriously though, is there something you’re actually looking to do once youve got your strength back? Cancer sucks

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Boomers, or millennials with boomer energy. Really anyone that wants to shit on “the youth”

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Just make sure your.partner is clean and tested beforehand. It’s not that hard lol

BarrelAgedBoredom,

The wick is just the end of the rolling paper, you twist it up so it burns more evenly. The filter is called a crutch and it’s just a piece of scrap cardboard to give you something to hold on to do so you don’t burn your fingers and lips

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Eh, twisting the paper actually helps, and the crutch is nice. I don’t care for smoking all the way to the end of the joint and hurting myself. What’s so bad about either of those things?

BarrelAgedBoredom,

That’s 80s. 70s didn’t happen, 50s-60s are certified geriatric®

Source: I’ve been hearing ACDC on the classic rock station for the last 10 years

BarrelAgedBoredom,

True but their music is more associated with the 80s. And the 70s didn’t happen

BarrelAgedBoredom,

No inside joke, just an observation haha. The 70s kind of lives in the 60s and 80s shadow culturally (except for disco, but people nowadays seem to forget disco happened until it’s mentioned). A lot of the big bands and musical movements found their stride/became more.popular in the 80s. The only time I hear “back in the 70s” it’s usually followed by stories of cocaine and disco, not Led Zeppelin and steppenwolf. The exception to that is Eagles, but theyre awful so it doesn’t count lol

BarrelAgedBoredom,

I eent to buy a jeep last year and the dealer said he had to inspect my shaft and pubes before he’d let me on the lot. Didn’t wind up buying one, the market adjustments were outrageous!

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Shot of whiskey, 30 second bong rip, fistful of melatonin, 2 Benadryl, and some sleepytime tea. Thank me later

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Any tips for someone who’s been out of school for 10 years and is looking to go back? I was ok at math but I couldn’t tell you the first fuckin thing about anything past the basics now

BarrelAgedBoredom,

I’m considering nursing, so an ASN degree. I think it’s just algebra 1 and chemistry, which I’ve been told involves quite a bit of math

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Good to know, thanks! I work 50-60 hours a week (12s so only 4/5 days a week) so I was planning to go online at a slower pace. But if I’m able to cut back my hours and still make ends meet I wouldn’t mind doing some of my classes in person. Not sure how that all works, I’ve never been to school outside of getting my EMT license and that was almost a decade ago too

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Oh yeah, I’m not too worried about it in the field. I’ve been in healthcare for 8 or 9 years now, I’m hip with the lingo and equipment involved. The hectic nature of EMS jives with my ADHD pretty well but the structured environment of college and my lost familiarity of more advanced math is what’s concerning to me. I have terrible time management in lower stakes stuff like appointments, due dates, etc.

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Im actually planning to move to somewhere in New England in the next year or so, I’m thinking Connecticut atm. How do you like New Hampshire? You’re making that university sound pretty nice ngl haha

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Vermont was my first choice but the entire state seems to have approximately 3 rentals available at any given time lol. CT is roughly on par with my home state, Florida. However I do know several people that are moving to Tennessee from here so it must be a helluva lot cheaper than here.

Idk about minimum wage is up there but it’s $16 in CT and I’m fortunate enough to be married so even if the both of us are making minimum wage when we get up there, we’ll still be able to make it work as long as we’re full time. I hope you’re able to make it out of TN! Check out central CT for cheaper towns. The Hartford area is fairly reasonable. I’m looking at New Britain in particular

BarrelAgedBoredom,

The 90s are alive and well on lemmy

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Have you tried buying the newest product?

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Finally, the recipe for babycakes

BarrelAgedBoredom,

You only need like a week of not cumming to get a huge load and potential increased sensitivity back. Unless you’re a chronic masturbator with death grip, in which case a month would probably be better lol

BarrelAgedBoredom,

It’s called no NUT november though. Not no porn november

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Got any dishes that you feel represent the kind of Mexican food you grew up with? People are always so quick to say “x isn’t Mexican, y, isn’t Mexican, it’s so impossible to find real Mexican food if you don’t live close to the border”. But they never say what “real Mexican” is lol. I’d love to try something authentic but as someone from Florida whos apparently never had any real Mexican food in my life I have no idea where to start

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Wow, thank you for going through all that trouble! I really appreciate it. I’m vegetarian but might have to make an exception for a couple of these lol. Not to say there aren’t plenty of vegetarian dishes in there as well. I’m pumped to try some new stuff out!

BarrelAgedBoredom,

If you don’t mind, how did the Fitbit motivate you to be more active? I’ve been considering one for a while but it doesn’t seem like something I’d have a lot of utility for

BarrelAgedBoredom,

I don’t think people are eating bacon for the health benefits

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Good quality ground breakfast sausage, flour, milk, fresh sage.

Get the sausage good and brown and then add enough flour to the sausage to soak up the fat. Let that flour sit in the heat for a few minutes, stirring every so often, get it a little browned. Slowly add milk while stirring and scraping the stuck on flour off the pan. Add milk to desired thickness. FYI the gravy will gradually thicken over ~5 mins so let it sit for a bit before serving to make sure you’re at the right consistency. When you add the milk, toss in a few hearty pinches of fresh sage. Enjoy!

Non-credible defense, a community for war hawk memeing

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Don’t leave us hanging! What’s the verdict?

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Hey OP, have you looked into non-binary peoples experiences? I’m not the most knowledgeable but it might be worth checking. You may also want to read some queer theory if you haven’t already. It won’t give you the answers but it will give you the tools and language to be informed and help you work your way through these feelings on your own. Therapy is expensive and it’s not always an option, I’m in the same boat.

As others have said it may behoove you to seek out LGBT+ spaces nearby so you can talk with people in your area. There may be some unspoken cultural barriers on the web that are impacting how you approach this. People within your locale might be able to better relate to the nuances of your situation that others online may not share or even notice. It’s certainly worth a shot. At the very least you’ll have found an inclusive space of like-minded people that you can feel safe exploring your gender with. I wish you the best and hope you’re able to find the answers you’re looking for

BarrelAgedBoredom,

They can fly short distances, at least wild ones can. I’ve seen them perched in trees and had a couple fly over my head before. It’s terrifying lol

E: just clicked rhe link and I’ve realized that I’m a goober

BarrelAgedBoredom,

LGBTQCIA, the feds in on it now

BarrelAgedBoredom,

We have 3 and same. 2 per household is enough, don’t get more than 2

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Fwiw, I love all of them and I don’t regret having 3. But I’ll never have 3 cats at the same time again lol

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Being a frog umbrella would be pretty toit

BarrelAgedBoredom,

What’re they doing the rest of the year? I thought that was just like their homes or something. You’ve just shattered a very insignificant part of my reality but I can’t cope lol

BarrelAgedBoredom,

Carbrains don’t know what they’re missing

BarrelAgedBoredom,

This was my first e-reader, but I played around with my mom’s Paperwhite 5 for a bit before deciding against it. The UI on the paperwhite is better but you don’t really interact with it much for it to be a big problem. I also patched mine using calibre to add some features that aren’t present on the stock UI. I’m not sure about the particulars with the display but text and images are fairly crisp. All in all, I’m pretty happy with it
