All of this could be solved if people actually cared about finding a reasonable solution. We don’t fight about it because it’s worth fighting over. We fight because it’s in our blood. We must fight to satisfy our primal urge for conflict.

My interest started in my physics classes. They teach you the basics of Linux since it gets used for simulations and solving other math problems as well. I’m not 100% sure why, but i remember not even finding windows versions of some software that we used. I think it’s connected to supercomputers almost exclusively running Linux, and I had a couple of professors that use them.
I might be more inclined to agree if there was some benefit to having him show up in person, but I don’t see why he can’t just attend this remotely. People get sick after being vaccinated too. Maybe is a minimal risk, but it seems like a pointless risk nonetheless.
Aliyaut’s logo? It is clean, but it’s hardly even identifiable as a gecko. It blends in too much with all the modern corporate logos we have today IMHO. It’s not a bad choice if they decide to go with it, but they could do better.
I don’t feel like they’re inherently bad, but they’ve become so popular that they all feel like they’re blending together. I think it’s kind of stale at this point.
This is really not a problem with Celsius. It’s a result of us being used to Fahrenheit. We could probably switch and not have any issues after a month or so if we really wanted to.
As a Lemmy shareholder, I’m outraged. If Lemmy doesn’t get more users soon, I am going to stop the thrusters that keep the world turning. You have been warned.
Nowadays I find a lot of games feel like too much work and/or anxiety when I just want to relax for like, 30 minutes to an hour after a long day. On the other hand, the games specifically designed to help you unwind just feel boring imo....
Lately I have been playing Crypt of the Necrodancer. It was quite chill until I reached zone 4. It doesn’t get me worked up or anything, but the last level of zone 4 does get me a bit tense with the speed.
In general, Deep Rock Galactic is pretty chill. If I really just want to take it easy I can pick up a mission on Hazard 3 or 4.
I’m really lucky that I didn’t cave in and watch any videos at first. (I think I watched the game’s version of a tutorial, but that was it.) Its fantastic.
When I was middle school, I did just start smelling bad as I was sweating more. My parents told me to start wearing deodorant. I didn’t know that some people just don’t smell when they sweat.
What I am searching for is for games that support touch screens and can be played with 1 finger / one hand. No action games with fake joysticks on the screen, just games that work with a single finger or at least one hand while lying in bed and trying to wind down. One very good example is Civilization V, which has a dedicated...
Check out Slay the Spire if you haven’t already. I did find some forum posts with people complaining that the touch controls don’t work well, but you can try the game and refund it if it’s not working properly. (At least steam should make this pretty easy.) it worked well for me on iPad, but I can’t personally vouch for the experience on windows.
He should completely disassemble the car, and then install each piece in a different car in the lot. Then he can build a new car in the original spot from the displaced pieces. A maneuver known as the auto-troll shuffle.
Dang. I was optimistic that they may be trying out a linear single player shooter, but I guess that was naive of me. The live service model is making so much money for them, so they’re doing the most sensible thing. This is just them recycling some old IP, not an actual revival.
The purpose of dystopian sci-fi is to help us understand these kinds of things. If Black Mirror helps you think about how technology will impact our future, all the power to you.
If a doctor spells out a risk to a patient and then still gives something that ends up causing harm, it is really a bit of a grey area. I don’t think that the doctor is entirely free of guilt in general. That being said, denying a medication without offering a proper substitute on this basis seems egregious. One can, under normal circumstances, control if they get pregnant or not.
I remember when Proton launched it was like magic playing games like Doom and Nier Automata straight from the Linux Steam client with excellent performance. I do not miss the days of having the Windows version of Steam installed separately.
Honestly, I’m considering risking the jump to something like Pop OS. If my games ran well on Linux, I probably would have no reason to stay on windows outside of for my work computers.
Honestly, who doesn’t? I can’t remember ever reading a lengthy description of some delicious food and thinking that the author should just hurry up and get to the story.
You know, Robin Williams was the reason that I started doing stand-up comedy? My personal hero. Knowing that he did this for Neelix, especially when he was getting a lot of hate? Robin is a saint. Also just a small thing because I wanted to honor the man…...
I agree that you can’t really compare years to years here. They clearly mature mentally and physically faster. It is altogether weird still, but so is the basic concept of dating aliens from another species.
