I can’t say I understand the appeal of Google Play games on PC. I barely want to play mobile games on my phone - why would I want to play them on my PC?
It’s just another move towards making our operating systems as locked down as phones. The ultimate goal for google is everyone on android and chromeOS so they can harvest more data.
Well yeah… I mean I still use bo3 on steam and love it because of all the custom shit built in. I never even touch cold war because there is no custom shit and id rather have the 50+gb of space than the 4 zombies maps and “outbreak” it provides. Meanwhile battlenet never updates itself, nor diablo properly either.
Thought I read at one point that the authors of The Expanse had originally intended it to be a gaming universe? Then they made it into a book series instead. Then it became a TV show. And now…
It was going to be an MMO. But they are really expensive to make and have small profits margins, and I don’t think it got that far off the ground. I’ve never even seen anything like concept art for it.
Then it got turned into a book series, then that got turned into the TV show, and the game is a game of the TV show. The story in the books is a bit different and no one knows what the story of the MMO was like.
You can either use Steam via adding an exe as a non-steam game running proton or manage it seperately using something called Lutris. In my opinion its easier to use Lutris as you get more control over the options so look into it.
I understand that trying to optimize (if they even try) games for multiple possible PC setups compared to one common setup for consoles is tougher. Still, PC gamers are more often than not given shitty games to “enjoy”.
