He's effectively trying to get a raise. I don't see this any different from asking a raise from your boss at work. I mean, if you don't want more money from work, that's your problem, not his.
I have been making the occasional coworker a cup of aeropressed coffee with good reviews thus far. Being that it is shift work, most of my coworkers are used to drinking the reduced syrup of a pot that’s been left on the burner too long (one coworker thanked me for leaving it for her!). Many don’t even know coffee doesn’t...
I'm late to this, but really, for questions like these, you really need to state two things:
Roughly where you live. If I recommend something from Indonesia, and you live in the UK, that's not going to cut it, is it?
A hard number for a budget, cheap has different meanings to different people across income groups. Cheap to me as broke student in my 20s is different from me as a working adult in my 40s.
Join one of the PatientGamer communities, usually a good way to find out interesting older games you may have missed in the current and/or previous hype cycles.
Then why're you even commenting in an area that you don't partake in? This is like saying "I don't get why people buy sports cars" in a forum of racing enthusiasts. Or saying "I don't see the need for cast iron woks" when you're happy to have boiled pasta every day.
Just when I was ready to upgrade to 11; I don't think I've ever been this behind in Windows upgrade cycles outside of the awful ones (ME, Vista and 8).
I've got Win 11 on my laptop on with the last update I think it's ok to use now. What's wrong with it?
Not a privacy freak, but still concerned about the overheads with sending unncessary data too. And I really just want an OS, not a nanny on the desktop. Copilot in Edge is useful but I hate the nagging about using it.
I don't really care about that as long as it doesn't interfere with my daily use; that's what I really dislike whenever MS adds something to Edge, it adds cruft to the UI, and also why I get the complaints about ads in the Start Menu (I'm not in the USA, never had ads in the Start Menu ever). That shit would be so infuirating.
Have you tried installing a copy of Windows in Dosbox, then install the game from there? I remember doing something like that to play the original SimTower.
Very likely the game is 16 bit mode, which is why nothing in Windows 10's compatibility mode is working, as it doesn't support 16 bit programs.
Nevermind that, an approach like what Sharp and the old PDAs did with transflective displays would be pretty neat too. But I suspect what'll happen is that they'll be called out for not providing "rich colours and deep blacks".
Doesn't look that great; reading in-between the mostly positive reviews on Steam, it seems a little repetitive on gameplay and the humour level in it apparently is quite cringe/underdeveloped.
This was something I started wondering about when I was reading a thread about Star Citizen, and about how space combat flight games were much less-common than they had been at one point, how fans of the genre were hungry for new entrants....
I've worked in camera retail and the local shops do just that, actually, and it's effective. The FOMO people get their stuff first at a higher price, the shop gets a boost in margins, and everyone else gets to enjoy cheaper prices three months later (and have the early adopters sit through the bugs and first-run issues).
Also I just checked my own WhatsApp backup space, it's just shy of 500mb with videos. Good for me I guess! I really don't use WhatsApp that much compared to Telegram.
Have to use WhatsApp to function in society though, where I am. At least, those messages aren't really that important in the long run so they don't need to be backed up, so no loss there for me.
So how do you participate in the work chat with just SMS? Lots of informal collaborations in both my last role and current role needed and needs WhatsApp, with both internal and external stakeholders. I literally cannot do my jobs without WhatsApp.
Delivery services will contact you on WhatsApp as proof that the delivery was made, disputes are much harder to solve without it.
Many businesses use WhatsApp as part of their chat support (luckily, not the banks, small wins at least). Talk to a person on the phone? Good luck.
These are just the examples off the top of my head; I feel like so many here are naive on what it's like to live in a modern, digital society.
354ml of coffee is quite a bit, even with strong robusta local coffee I don't do more than 180ml on average, and 4-5 shots sounds like a lot. I suppose if your body can take it, that's fine, but I do wonder if it'll taste like ass after an hour or so; won't it get cold?

I still think it's a pretty good thing to have, 30 days for things like migrating or having your phone being repaired sounds pretty good. It's a neat service, not sure why the upset comments.
Thai Food Near Me, Dentist Near Me, Notary Near Me, Plumber Near Me — businesses across the country picked names meant to outsmart Google Search. Does it actually work?
My first one was a Samsung Galaxy S1 that I got in 2013 and it was a great little device that was easy to open up and repair. It had only 512MB of RAM but that was plenty for basic phone needs, web browsing and running some Android apps like AnkiDroid at the time.
Not familiar with the tech, but wouldn't server-side LLMs still have an advantage regardless because of the greater power available on tap? Anything that improves local LLM will also benefit server-side LLMs, wouldn't it?
As much as USA is pro-gun, I thought automatics are not sold?
Regardless as the other comment says, firing on full auto is a waste of ammo. Back in service our first range practice we were given the Rambo-fantasy; hip firing at full auto at 10 metres out. No one hit any of the targets. It was a lesson to us that firearms, as easy as they are to use, needed at least some skill to be effective.
What's a bump stock? Went to read about them; the inventing company has stopped making them, are they still easy to get?
They popped up the range targets, so not as tight as a packed crowd, but you'd think at least one would get hit. My impression was that it was really hard to control the recoil making the barrel going up, so most of my rounds just went over the targets.
Google teamed up with Samsung once again to build the Tensor G3, the chipset that powers the new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. It comes out of Samsung’s 4nm foundries and features a 9-core CPU (1x Cortex-X3 + 4x A715 + 4x A510) and an ARM Mali-G715 GPU.
Maybe bad perception? Mediatek for a long time produced a bunch of cheap chips. Kinda like if UniSoc produced a Snapdragon 8 G2 killer, I think plenty will be sceptical, me included.
Windows already works on ARM, but some X86 programs are still a little slow. The Snapdragons previously used weren't as fast as the Apple silicon too, so that didn't help. The original Surface X did have a lot more problems, but Surface 9 on ARM from all reports works well.
Read some reviews, the flaws don't sound great. It also didn't get very high ratings, so probably they saw the writing on the wall for this one.
Sleeper hits don't make money in games too, I guess, with the way sales are done. Usually most of the money is made within the first month or so, right? I'm guessing they did some analysis and felt that the money wouldn't be coming in.
