See this is why I never post anything that shows any of my surroundings.
You always have a shit load of people like you whose first reaction is to be insulting. With all the fuckin acceptance shit going around lately you’d think not being perfectly clean all the time would be more acceptable.
laptop is up there to stop the light from falling when the birds fly onto it. i have an extra kb and mouse attached so i dont have to reach. both pc and laptop are hooked to the big tv, just have to pick the input. my main pc is behind the headphones/mic on the right side of the curved screen
Looks like the laptop is the only computer, so the rest of the gear is connected to it. It’s probably floating to save desk space, as he doesn’t need the touchpad and keyboard.
I have 2 x MTX AAL12B’s sitting behind my two outside monitors, 2 x Bose 201’s on the outsides of my outer two monitors, and some Sony bookshelf speakers I have yet to find a place to make the most use of them. 320 watts pushing them all. They are all running off a speaker selector so I can choose which to use.
And all mine was free, save for the head unit. Everything I have is from stuff left behind by people when they move out of an apartment. I have a 3 x 8" subwoofer now from SKAR as well, just need to get a new head unit that supports passive subs. The one I have now only supports active, and I can’t find any separate subwoofer amps for home use that supports less than 8 ohm.
Nice, I’ve got a similar situation for my bedroom stereo. Thrifted vintage Fisher(I think) speakers (3-way, 15” woofers), Sony surrounds, rears, center, and subwoofer with an Onkyo receiver. Maybe spent $120 total on it all when I lived in the States.
All of my battle station audio equipment has now paid for itself though. Well, work gave me the 1032b pair since they upgraded their standard reference speaker to the GENELEC Ones. They’re only two-way though and for my side hustle in music production, I really needed those three-way 8351Bs.
most of my stuff has been frankensteined together too. even the receiver was free cause the A+B speaker buttons were buggered along with the volume. i have not touched the volume knob in years, and just soldered the A side on permanently
Speakers overkill? Is that even possible? (Don’t mind the mess. What’s not shown is the center and surrounds. I have the left side grills off to show the speakers themselves.) https://i.imgur.com/VfBrqku.jpg
Where is this setup? Those concrete walls looks study
Southern Alberta, had it down there to give me more room in the living room, but have a roommate down there now. Making another post with the current setup.
it “[fell] far short of the greatness” of Fallout 4 and Skyrim
Hilarious to read this, considering how much trash talk I heard about FO4 soon after its release.
People also spent years talking about how bad ESO is, and when I finally played it … it’s great, just like FO4.
I’ll be interested to see how/if opinions change about Starfield over time. I’ll still wait to play it because I’m a patient gamer, but I’ve come to distrust anyone’s takes about Bethesda games.
