For me, Reddit died long before the whole ordeal of the API controversy. More and more traffic was due to bots, and lately I started to receive a lot of spam from porn bots there. There's not a lot of incentive on part of Reddit to remove them, since bot activity is still activity they can present to investors.
Don't get me wrong, not all bots are bad, but spambots are universally harmful.
The monologue by Michael Nyqvist, where he talks about John Wick to his son. The background music is perfectly synced to the action and leads perfectly to the climax.
Tried joining a Lemmy instance but loading spinner stay stuck , didn't successfully create account
Not much of a redditor , glad you're not limited to redditlike functions . Only downside's microblog functionality very basic compared to single purpose platforms (Mastodon|(.*)key) , but don't want hassle of maintaining multiple fediverse accounts
One thing that I like about kbin is that it's not trying to be "x, but federated" like lemmy or mastodon for example. It's more exiting to try to make something new! I think it's very apparent how some parts of lemmy are full of redditisms on purpose which I disslike.
That said, I do have a lemmy account that I use for posting about other stuff. There are a tons of website sprouting up as contenders for a space in the new internet landscape and I'm having a lot of fun trying them out without really binding myself to one too tightly
Yeah looking to see if I can bring the content I’ve used on here across or if I need to 100% restart from scratch again. I do luckily already have a Kbin account that I’ve been messing around with but don’t want to lose my Communities / Magazines.
This scene from John Wick 1, where he's introduced by Michael Nyqvist. Listen to the background music and how it matches the action and builds up to the end of the scene.
Right click on the thing you want to change and choose Inspect. That will show you the current class/id to key in on. I haven't seen docs on that. it could also be a moving target since kbin is still pretty new and under very active development.
I erred on the side of caution and left out the /m, since I interpreted it as just a reminder of what went in the box. It seems to have worked out perfectly, and I'm not stuck with a random "M" in the name. Although I REALLY wish we had a much clearer definition of the distinction between "title" and "name." Just closed my eyes and prayed, there.
I'm assuming "title" is what appears to an outside viewer and "name" is the address. Not interested in making a dummy magazine to verify that guess, but the two field entries are slightly different for this magazine and which one is in the address bar suggests I'm correct.
I felt the same way. I think the /m was supposed to hint that this would be the url component. Oh well UX polish. Easy right with so much spare time? And TY for the answer!
