Great to see a fellow OG LiS enjoyer! I still get heavy goosebumps over the OST. Santa Monica~
I don’t really have proper ships in that regard that the only games where I began shipping were animu ones, where an official couple doesn’t exist in a canon sense.
Shuichi x Kaede. For the ship fandom this is considered as the “official” couple, but if you played you know why this is the favorite. Clair de Lune…
Currently on the last book in the 3 part broken earth series by N.K. Jemisin. The Stone Sky. The first book threw me through a loop. Second one is setting up the third one.
Great world building with well written characters surrounded by interesting concepts is truly a rare gem to unearth. Will have to have a look at some of her other series.
I finished Barrayar by Louis Mcmaster Bujold and had a really great time from start to finish. Gripping, funny, and just plain thought provoking, I can see why it won a Hugo award and Locus award.
Just finished the Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. As a fan of the original trilogy, I really enjoyed all the worldbuilding and learning more about Panem.
Oh my bad I thought it was just loosely inspired by them. That takes a lot of skill to not only carve a sword out of something used for rowing but to actually win a sword fight with it.
true, i am really impressed with how well kbin works on mobile browsers. it's very easy to use and navigate, most other sites cannot say the same, which is weird, since people are on mobile devices more often than desktop so you'd think it would be perfected. kbins mobile browser experience feels like an app.
My favorite thing is that it’s not lemmy but is compatible and we can share the communities/magazines between the two implementations of the threadyverse.
Just the fact that we have two different implementations of the same concept which can interoperate is very very good. Actually I started on /kbin also but wanted to host it myself. I’m not sure about now but back then there was no documentation on how to host your own /kbin instance so I had to go with Lemmy.
It's a better UI, and it had other federated content. I found I dont personally care for the twitter style of content, but its cool that it's there. Love to see other implementations in the future.
