Hey there! As a 3D printer addict I do a lot of small parts in CAD to print and use around the house. Lately I’ve been exploring all sorts of CAD software since finding out there’s a more around than just Fusion360 and Onshape so I started exploring what’s out there and jotting down my impressions....

For the past few days I’ve been working on a 3-D printable footpedal potentiometer to be used in a guitar pedal. It is a parametric model in FreeCAD. It has a top and bottom that hinge together, with a potentiometer that is coaxial with the hinge so that when the pedal is pressed, the potentiometer is rotated....

My most complex model to date, can be configured with as many tasks as you want.

I have been printing a number of sculptures this week and while mostly good, I am seeing repeated issues associated with settings....

I’ve created this nozzle insert for the Prusa Toolbox, it’s for the standard Prusa MINI nozzles which should be the same dimensions as E3D V6.

Just updated this under desk mount I designed for my Apple MacBook charger. I like the aesthetic of this design but I’m still not happy with the print quality because of the need for supports, and the overhangs of the curved base can be a challenge....

Made sure the stock firmware printed the example gcode that came on the SD card and then immediately embarked on my journey to get klipper running on this guy....

This was recently published on GitHub. I didn’t try it myself since none of my printers are wireless, but I figure people may be interested to know it exists. We’re still far from parity, but FOSS coverage of resin printers gets closer to coverage of FDMs!

I’ve posted this to reddit before, but the post has gotten lost among an automod flurry. I’ve got some longer travel coming up and this thing has been on my mind again, so I’m looking for some suggestions!

Saw this come through from Octoprint remotely. It was an 8 hour print and died about at about the 7:15 mark.

Even though most of the work was done by someone else, I’m still kind of proud of this print. I dipped my toes into the water and edited the design in Blender to improve the design. I’ll upload the cube tomato in a month or so when it grows into the mold....

I made a post about this a couple weeks ago as well, but my order for the 4 Pro still hasn't shipped and I haven't seen any email updates from Elegoo either. I placed my order back on August 6th with shipping from the US warehouse for delivery in August. There's still a bit of time left in the month, but if it hasn't shipped...
