Just want to thank everyone that engaged with my post today everyone was so chill and inspiring. I want to encourage us all in this community and all over Lemmy to continue to be kind and helpful. I had so many bad experiences on Reddit with hate keepers and know it alls and I’m glad we got this opportunity to be something...
For the record, the printed part is over here: https://jade.moe/@oct2pus/110663696296464736
Anyone know of a good place to sell a used printer? Are we allowed to sell here? Thanks in advance.
It appears Home Assistant’s official PrusaLink integration is not yet compatible with the PrusaLink API shipped with a MK4 printer. This project was put together as a temp solution to fix my existing automations requiring various metrics from the Printer’s API....
I just spent two days troubleshooting this issue so I felt I should probably share it....
Found this cool model on Printables and modified it for the OEM MagSafe charger before the iOS 17 public beta drops in July. It looks a lot like the expensive ones. (White would have been more Apple-y but I have been enjoying printing in day glow colors lately)
Anyone have a recommendation on where to get a kit for a 350mm Trident? Most of the LDO suppliers seem to only go up to 300mm
Mouse I printed on my Photon mono 4K. SLA is a learning curve for sure! I had LOTS of failures trying to print this.
The #3DBenchy model usually capsizes in water, but I found that with the right slicer settings, it will actually float upright: www.thingiverse.com/thing:6076719
Here’s a close up picture of the print itself: imgur.com/a/flJjhGs. It’s printed in PETG with 40% infill. I printed it first in PLA, but then it snapped immediately (thankfully not on my face). The only reason why I didn’t use PETG from the get go was that I actually didn’t know you could print it without an enclosure....
So tried out some PETG for the first time, and the first couple prints went really well. but I believe it's picked up quite a bit of moisture, sitting in the basement....
My resin printer was powered off with resin in the vat for about 7 months. Last night I turned it on, gave it a job, and I woke up to a successful print....
Tons of 3d printed parts. James uses sooooooooooo much. Love it.
It’s a magnet-drive linear motor printer. Nothing like it on the market. I’m interested to see if this goes anywhere.

I do a lot of soldering and for the last few years have been using SMD components. Up until recently I was buying short pieces of tape with a few dozens or a hundred components. The amount that I do has really increased and running our of components began to irritate me so I started buying them on commercial rolls of 4,000 or...
We meet “Steamboat Ed” at this year’s Maker Faire Bay Area, a veteren machinist who has taken to designing shop tools that anyone can 3D print! From a simple drill press to die filers and alignment clamps, Ed’s enthusiasm for making shop tools accessible is infectious! Plus, he shares with us his modular motorised...
I’m considering pulling the trigger on an X1C but the waste is a huge turn-off. I know there are options for purging to infill or a sacrificial object, but last I heard there’s still a considerable amount of purge/prime. Can someone who’s played with the settings tell me honestly how much progress has been made in reducing...
Does any of you have any experience with this? I’m looking at the Felfil Evo pellet extruder which seems like an acceptable option. One thing I don’t understand. Why are the shredder and spooler so ungodly expensive?...
Hello fellow printers!...
Printed a bracket for the runout sensor. Hated the position up top. printables.com/…/493623-sv06-plus-filament-runout…
Just wanted to come back and say a special thanks to this awesome community for helping me on my last post! lemm.ee/post/7546629...
