I haven’t looked into point to point wireless in a few years. Seems like this could be a use. One person pays and then blasts that connection to the whole neighborhood.
Otherwise there is zero residential need for these speeds.
Same. And they send me an email every few weeks to see if I’ll upgrade to 2gig. I pretty damn happy with just the 1gig. I can’t imagine what I’d do with 20gig.
Using the metaphorical (or maybe literal) model of ideas as living things - there should be conditions we can create to nurture an ecosystem of beneficial ideas. Like making a garden or farm....
Not sure this is what you’re asking but it’s a thought I have had.
Let take a creative job like writing for a tv show. They will hire writers that have various background and they will pull from them with interesting scenarios and ideas.
I always though that there is a nearby endless amount of random people just going about their life that might have amazing ideas for shit. They will never be a tv show writer because their an accountant or a teacher or whatever. However, they might have a ton or even one really great idea.
Me and my wife like to get high and pitch ideas back and forth. When we have a good one we put into a google doc. They’ll never see the light of day but I’m sure I’d the right person had access to them they could make them into something great.
I guess my point is there is a huge untapped creative bucket of “regular people”.
I’m all for insane early adopters to iron out kinks I’d stuff like this. I’m sure we’ll need these speeds at some point but I can’t imagine the average people will in the 15-20 years.
I’d say this is more bandwidth then my entire road would need in total.
I have prime for 70% shipping, 25% automatic photo/video uploads, and 5% video streaming.
I think the only amazon things I’ve watched are The Boys and Swarm. Both good but not worth a subscription. I also have other ways to get these shows if needed.
I guess that number makes since to me. Seems like there would be a good bit that have to retire at 52 due to health issues and another bit that works till 74. With average average being 65-67 I would say 61 sound about right.
About 2-3 years ago the line clogged and I didn’t catch it for a while and we had some serious water damage. It just clogged again and I caught it pretty quick but it could have been bad....
I’m old at this point (39) so I’m not going to pretend to really know the thoughts of young dudes. However, I still feel “strong and stoic” is still the societal and possibly more important dating scene preference.
I think society and women still do outwardly show a preference for a strong and a “tough it out” man. Even if it’s not fully true I still think it’s true enough for young men to see it and think that is what will get them a partner.
It’s for sure better than it was 20 years ago and FOR SURE better than 40 years ago. Just saying that I still think were pretty far from the finish line.
I’ve always used google maps on my iPhone and it has offline maps. I use it pretty regularly on trips to be damn sure I can get where I’m going regardless of cell signal.
I never used Apple Maps because it was HORRIBLE when it first came out. I used it a few times more recently and it’s actually pretty decent. With offline maps I might give it another real try.
Offline maps are a little above a “nice to have” feature for me. However, I think it makes it worth giving it another solid try for a few weeks. I’ll check it out as soon as iOS 17 hits.
It’s now been four years since the release of David Yarovesky’s Brightburn, a horror take on Young Superman that was notably produced by James Gunn. The film told the origin story of super-villain Brandon Breyer, and it pulled in over $33 million worldwide on a $6 million production budget.
I’ve got my server running on Windows and Radarr & Sonarr running on the same system. Data is stored on a NAS. I could move Radarr and Sonarr over to the NAS and setup docker with Overseerr.
I’ve never used docker so that is most of my initial worry.

I do though… I just tested it and I’m currently watching blackberry in airplane mode. I’m wondering if I just have something stuck from sync vs. download.
I’ll fully uninstall the app and reinstall to see if still happening.
I was super into chasing the highest possible saving accounts. I’ve always used this link when I was shopping.
I’ll say that it can be great to get a little higher % but there is also value in keep it simple. I think at my worst I had 7 entirely separate savings accounts (not counting checking or investing). I now have 2 and I’ll probably merge them in the next few months.
It would be good for you to consider your limits on what you’ll chase. If you find account that will give you an extra 0.1% it doesn’t make since to change but 2% likely does. However, if it’s 2% higher but it has a $500 limit maybe that doesn’t make since.
I’m now mainly using Ally and I really do like their bucket system.
We both setup servers at about the same time a few years ago and shared with each other. I’m sure once the dust settles someone will pull the he plug on his server and it’ll be offline for good....
Same. Mine is pretty automated but the second the power blips she isn’t going to find the power button and I’m sure the NAS will eventually get tossed in a box.
