The summary of the films conclusion on wikipedia is gold:
Black Dynamite then travels to the White House (in the process, Cream Corn is killed by the Secret Service) and confronts President Richard Nixon, who has been giving the orders from the beginning. Black Dynamite engages Nixon in a kung-fu battle. Nixon gets the upper hand when he dishonestly pulls John Wilkes Booth’s gun, but the ghost of Abraham Lincoln appears and disarms Nixon with kung-fu. After defeating Nixon in a fair fight, Black Dynamite threatens to expose Nixon as the subject of a series of bondage and cross-dressing photographs. The president begs to be killed but Black Dynamite refuses to give him “the easy way out” and has Nixon watch out for his people. The film concludes with a monologue from Black Dynamite on his quest for justice as Gloria and Pat Nixon watch on rapturously.
Such a great movie! It may sound a bit over the top silly from that paragraph, but the whole movie is great and definitely deserves a full watch through
At least he actually turned up for you! He came the first time and it was great, but I’ve been waiting years for him to come again and nothing. I guess he just doesn’t want to hang.
In the tomb of horrors, there is a door that summons a monster to attack the players if the players stab the door. This is apparently something that not only happens in Gary Gygax’s campaigns, but happens often enough that he encoded it into one of the most famous dungeons of all time.
It used to be a common strategy to poke or stab things to see what is real and what wants to hurt you, I think stranger things even touched on it a bit.
Yeah ten foot poles were standard gear for a reason.
I don’t really like traps too much as a DM, it seems too easy to make a lethal trap (at least in a fantasy setting) and why would the makers bother with a non-lethal one?
Generally people don’t commit to a campaign if it’s not something they want to do. In my experience, the “scheduling conflicts” referred to are probably other responsibilities outside player control. I can’t claim to be intimately familiar with military life, but I presume they aren’t being ordered to supercede the players’ will to be there, but to take advantage of the military hierarchy to clear their play time from other orders.
I play with the person who makes my schedule, and it’s awesome.
Imagine being a private and marrying a Major. She could just order me to mow the lawn, haha. she could order me to cook dinner every night and wear a slutty apron while I do it lol. She could order me to go down on her while she does paperwork and writes up punishments for other male soldiers under her command who have messed up during the week. She could make me lay down face up while she does pushups with her hands around my throat so she’s choking me out the whole time. Geez that would be funny, right guys? Haha!
Soldiers have the duty to disobey orders that are illegal or unconstitutional, so she could not make you wear a slutty apron because that would likely violate your right to personal identity.
Lol nice for real though the military does have fraternization rules to prevent (gestures vaguely) …that
Officers can’t be in romantic relationships with enlisted members unless they were both in the same status when they got married. It can get you in legit legal trouble if discovered, especially if the person involved is in your chain of command aka one of your bosses.
I’m not defending this dude at all but some people just like it. My girlfriend has explicitly told me that she likes when I grab,/squeeze her neck. I’m also not a mansplaning douch though.
I feel like the guy standing over the girl at a party with his hand on the wall above her head - to show “ownership” - is even more representative of the species.
Her strength is, I think 11? But those “gauntlets of the arcane fist” are gauntlets of ogre power with some extra features. This statline (rolled) is really high even without the 19 strength in there.
Ah, the “Gauntlets of the Arcane Fist” are gauntlets of ogre power, with a few small extras - reincarnate doesn’t just let you boost stats - or all the cool kids would be doing it
It was excellent as a fantasy adventure movie, excellent as a D&D movie, and excellent as a Forgotten Realms movie. It could have been any one or two of those, but to hit all three angles so perfectly was just so spectacular. I really hope we get a sequel with the same creative team.
You want mental damage? I just got my first dose of rural Florida about an hour ago. I didn’t get out of the car but it kinda felt like I was driving through a haunted forest on an alien world.
