It’s based on a french comic book, drawn and written by Spanish artists, so not really. It’s a direct homage to Hollywood noir movies, but with anthro. It’s played straight too, not a parody.
This game is fun, but after about 15 hours you realize you’ve actually seen and explored all the gameplay elements - they’re just repeated for another 30 hours.
So it’s a good buy if you would enjoy a classic zombie apocalypse scenario, with a loooooot of biker dudes being all about bikes and cranking that hog. If you need a deep story, do not buy, because the gameplay can’t carry it along alone.
Had no idea Sony were releasing their PC ports on GOG now too, albeit later than Steam. Good to see they recognise an appetite for alternative/non-store binding releases.
I had lots of fun with the game. Story is meh but gameplay was excellent, the balance of satisfying exploration and excellent combat kept me engaged to the end. Wish there was more to do with the settlements and some crazier hordes at the end (the game ends up being a bit too easy by the end but then again, I did most of the side content too), but it was still great.
My dream game would be Project Zomboid depth with Days Gone presentation and gameplay 😁
