Does this mean we could finally have a representative under the age of 1000? No we’re just going to elect another dinosaur that thinks homes still cost a nickel? … okay
Maybe, but anecdotally my boomer aunt bought over $1,000 of apple gift cards and gave the card numbers over the phone to the “Apple support” guy with a thick Indian accent to get her hacked iCloud Photos back so…. I would like to see the different kinds of scams that both generations fall for.
The homeowner who fatally shot a 20-year-old University of South Carolina student who tried to enter the wrong home on the street he lived on Saturday morning will not face charges because the incident was deemed “a justifiable homicide” under state law, Columbia police announced Wednesday....
Bro banged on the door and broke a window to try to get in. He was literally forcefully entering a locked house, he didn’t just wander into an unlocked door by mistake.
No telling what the kid was trying to do or would have done if he got in. Home owners have to assume the person trying to kick in the door and breaking a window is there to do harm. Justified self defense to anyone with two brain cells to rub together.
That book they’re selling is like a modern “Mein Kampf.” It’s very interesting because I know quite a few moderate conservatives who wouldn’t ever support the policy proposed in this book, but they are still going to vote red because they believe it will fix the economy.
There’s no need for formal conspiracies when all of these economic and political elites share the same ideology, which they learned from their environment growing up in similar positions of privilege within the dominant culture.
lol cope and be normal I guess? I understand insta isn’t great with privacy but it’s a group chat for your room mates. Make a burner account instead of forcing all of them to download some app they’ve never heard of for one group chat with people they are forced to be acquaintances with.
They’re likely all thinking you’re the odd man out because you’re making a fuss over a group chat.
Normal people don’t care that much about privacy for a group chat between their room mates. They’re not and they shouldn’t have to go out of their way to fulfill your request for a privacy based platform for a single group chat.
Yeah I’ve never seen insta used for group chats, but it is a commonly used app so I see their reasoning of “let’s just use the app that almost all of us already have set up”
Unfortunately she made a decision that KILLED SOMEONE with the intent of KILLING SOMEONE.
Her victims will never get to be 70. Let her rot.
And you’re acting like that 70 year old is innocent. That 70 year old intentionally murdered someone because she was upset. Yeah it was 53 years ago but that’s the same person. 53 years ago that 70 year old deprived another human being of the rest of their life because she got upset. I don’t think you’d have the same sympathy for other criminals just because their crime was decades ago.
Linux people will never admit that it’s like that though. I have a few friends on Linux and when we all boot a game to play, the windows users like me sit in the lobby waiting for my friends to trouble shoot why battlefield 1 isn’t launching on Linux, then they give up and just boot into windows and magically the game starts.

More realistically ruined the parts of the internet that those with money were able to create or buy. Large swaths of the internet (especially now with the fediverse) are decentralized or decentralizing so one rich assholes decisions has less of an impact on overall use and enjoyment of platforms.
Mormonism is the fastest growing religion in terms of adherents and the fortune. Despite all the scandals about Mormonism (polygamy, pedophilia, anti-LGBT community, drug trafficking, financial abuse …), it is still on the rise and continues to draw in more followers. However, documents have unraveled the mystique of Mormonism...
Gonna have to downvote until you provide a source. As someone from Utah I’d be interested to read a fact checked article or even see the documents referring to this.
The United States is the wealthiest country in the history of the world and yet somehow manages to have more people doing slave labor (incarcerations for minor nonviolent crimes), more children starving, more violent crime, and more homelessness than almost any other modernized western nation. That’s not the sign of a system that works, and it doesn’t work because despite being wealthy as a group, individually Americans are divided into haves and have nots. Those that have HAVE EVERYTHING and do ANYTHING to maintain the status quo by tricking a lot of the have nots, statistically have nots like you, into believing this is the natural order of the world.
You are not a serf, you are not a slave, you are a human being deserving of a reasonable quality of life and so are the other 99% of Americans that are deprived of a respectful life because 1% of the people suck away wealth and vitality like vampires.
I was right in the edge of Gen Z and Millennial and grew up being the family’s tech kid. It still astounds me now that my younger sisters don’t know how to even look for solutions. They just get me. Having moved out I get texts and calls sometimes. I’ve had to explain that using a computer is a skill that is learnable. I didn’t learn by going to someone else. I had to learn how to learn. That’s the skill we should be teaching kids. Not how to solve the problems, but how to FIND the solution to problems.
