It’s all over twitter lately, people getting recorded ripping down posters with a graphic about the missing Israeli children and then their real names are found and are quickly fired from their jobs.
This happened to a Muslim dentist here in Miami. He lost his job as a result. He later clarified he did it to deescalate the situation and promote peace. But the damage has already been done and he is now an antisemite to many.
YouTube is way more than content creators. Just last night I watched an hour long episode of PBS news hour, an hour long EDM concert that was live in Europe a few days ago and then fell asleep to a bunch of clips from late night comedy shows. These aren’t struggling content creators, these are all from huge content providers that I’d have to track down separately if they weren’t on YouTube. Anything on Netflix I just pirate because tv shows and movies are easy to get.
I know organized communities often lead to a lot of social issues but they can also do a lot of good. Social support is key to mental healt. Modern lifestyle makes it harder and harder to find that support, or even meet new people after you get to a certain age
You know what would magically appear in 30 seconds tho? A Google images search. Not sure why people need a video when Heimlich posters have been doing the job for decades and are easily found online
You sound like Marjorie Taylor Greene lol. Things are nowhere as bad as you are projecting, we are all literally laughing at the Republican party (Republican party included).
If anything, this whole ordeal probably just saved us from going to civil war because it showed the country how dangerous this type of MAGA thinking in just 8 representatives can be.

Anxiety about the future is not an anxiety disorder. If almost 2 out of 3 Gen z has anxious intrusive thoughts so bad that they cannot go to school, work, have any kind of healthy interpersonal relationships, etc then the article would have a point, but I don’t think that’s the case. I have more faith in the next generation than that.
I know things are bad and folks are rightly apprehensive about the future, but that is not an anxiety disorder. Anxious thoughts doesn’t mean you have a disorder, it means you are alive and aware of your surroundings.
Some of this next generation will turn their distress about the future into eustress that motivates them to fix it (as long as they don’t give in to defeatest takes like in this article).
The 90s kid in me yearns for a phone with Fm radio, headphone jack, IR blaster, stylus, memory card slot, slide out keyboard and one of those click on projectors the Motorola phones used to have. I would call it the Donatello and it would be radical.
Bro I see things on my Google photos frame from even 10 weeks ago and am like holy crap I totally forgot we did that. Life is so busy and so often shitty, it really is nice to get reminders that at least every now and then I made a memory that wasn’t so bad. That’s what the photos, even the lamest posed ones, do for me.
My mind immediately went to a horizon zero dawn like dystopia where the Mozilla AI is the only thing left protecting humans from various malevolent AIs bent on consuming the human race
I think by that point ChatGPT would be more like Apollo, keeping the knowledge of humanity. I feel like one of the more corporate AIs will go full HADES, I’m thinking Bard. It will get a mysterious signal from space that switches it’s core protocol from “don’t be evil” to “be evil.”

In a functional society we would see the government regulate enshitification and protect consumers, but at least in the US, we are not seeing that. Only hope is that the EU can curb this trend somehow and the world follows suit
When the world was extra ridiculous over the past decade I would always tell my friends/family "the Mayans were right, the real world ended in 2012, and we have been living in a fucked up facsimile of it ever since purely for the amusement of the Mayan gods. They want to see how much they can turn up the “ridiculousness” dial on the simulation until the planet quite literally explodes
We made breakthroughs in recent yeara at harvesting alien technology from the crashed Roswell ships, leading to all of these “AI chips” and crazy speeds
They probably would, but that wouldn’t prepare them for a life of listening to college lectures, corporate meetings, boring social events, etc that “drone at them.” Giving a kid an unrealistic view of what adult life is and encouraging dependent personality disorder doesn’t sound that healthy to me. For me, school absolutely made me do stuff I didn’t want to do, and now in my 30s I see that’s pretty much the definition of being an “adult”
I got a similar fanless PC that has an n305 processor, USB 3.2 and two m.2 slots. I’m trying to figure out how to use it as a nas for at least two 14tb drives + virtualization server, Plex server, arrs, home assistant, etc.
Do you use any drives connected to your beelink? I’m thinking about getting a DAS but they look kind of pricey and I’ve read horror stories about USB drives disconnecting. Seems like USB 3.2 speeds might help with that tho?
