I’m using Kubuntu as my main OS and it has been very stable for me. You can remove snapd and install the deb Firefox repository. You should look up tutorials on how to do it, I did it and nothing broke

Theese devices support linux out of the box. Try installing a proper linux distro on your phone and good luck finding a graphics driver that is not sotware rendering

I had the same problem on my PC. Journald was spamming PCI errors all the time and the disk was filling up quite quickly. I ended up disabling journald and rsyslogd and the problem was fixed. You can delete the log files, if you find them
Yes, Linux (maybe it’s just an Ubuntu problem) does not run well in Virtual box. I could get it to boot 1/10 times and was quite unstable. But that was two years ago, maybe things have changed
You should check out the MicroG project, it can replace Google play services but it requires some hacking with Xposed modules. I got GMail working with it
