oh, I didn’t do any searching with new design. I extensively use search. it’d be bad if they break it. true for colours. their own colour scheme makes text difficult to read.
but I use custom colour scheme(Dracula theme), so have been spared of that.
I didn’t have much hope. however, after seeing yet another record hot year, I thought maybe this time people in power would do, or at least pledge to do something.
now I’ve truly accepted my fate. that I, along with billion others whose role in climate change is practically zero, will bear the most(provided we live that long).
seeing the incumbent party in my home country watering down environmental protection rules to benefit(and later benefit from) crony capitalist friends even as they persecute activists, I think it’s over.
I’m not into too much music, but whenever I do want to listen to some, I open a YouTube music client which is more than enough for my needs. they don’t require subscription, or are ads-riddled.
like, at the moment, I’m using vimusic
Debian GNU/Linux because of its emphasis on free software. also, it’s an operating system that doesn’t make me feel its presence. couple it with a stable desktop environment like xfce and it becomes a good combo. I’ve installed it on all of my machines. be it server or home devices. it’s my universal operating system.
though in office I’m provided an ubuntu machine, with which I’m also content since at the end of day, it’s GNU/Linux. it’s all that matters to me.
Title. Long,short story: creating or editing files with nano as my non-root user gives (the file) elevated privileges, like I have ran it w/ sudo or as root. And the (only) “security hole” that I can think of is a nextdns docker container running as root. That aside, its very “overkill” security-wise (cap_drop=ALL,...
if you haven’t heard about theory of computation, let me define some keywords:
symbol: smallest unit. denoted by any character(a,b,c, etc.) or number (0,1, etc.)
alphabet: set of symbols. denoted by Σ(sigma). e.g.: {a, b, c}
string: sequence of symbols. eg: a, aa, aaab, etc.
language: set of strings. e.g.: {a, as, aaab, …}
now, sigma has powers. Σ² is set of all strings of length 2. e.g.: {aa, ab, bb, …}. you can generalise this to Σ^n.
Σ* is union of all powers of sigma. i.e., Σ¹ + Σ² + …
so, a language is basically a subset of Σ*.
as for why theory of computation even exists, you basically try to define what a computer can/cannot do.
and you try to mathematically define a computer. then you try to define what a language is(in case of programming , you need it to form languages and compilers). hence the need for this.
disagree. see Radcliffe Line and its implementation.
spending five weeks to decide fate of 80 million people without even visiting the place in person isn’t spending “a lot of time.”
it’s them who own everything. they’ll change something one day(common example being prices and how they abuse your data) and you’ll be asked to either continue or leave.
I had previously used lineage, on which I was accustomed to it. I know several other Android skins that disable it. hence my suspicion that it’s disabled in stock android.
does it have to do with the name? first Sam Bankman-Fried, and now him lol. seeing his interviews makes me think he’s more of a wannabe cult-head guy, just like most of silicon-valley bros.
PS: seen his worldcoin thing? it’s whole another level of privacy nightmare.
because f-droid’s criteria is restrictive to some otherwise good apps. and they take some time to add apps to official repo.
think of izzyondroid like a beta-testing repo.
yeah, that’s what I used to think about those three.
I thought maybe I was wrong lol. now I gotta read about it before anyone says another thing now lol.
thanks for the explanation mate, much appreciated!
