I get that at work too and often it’s a trust issue. The other fella could get it done faster, but could he get it done equally well? Support time will eat future development time.
OK (I’m the same guy who posted with the petg not sticking) Before Yesterday I bought overture petg and I was deceived because I had all kinds 1f issues… But then I tried to put the bed at 90C and the nozzle at like 280 ant it worked… How come i have to print this hot 🔥?
Could also be the heat sensor is faulty, damaged wiring, etc. When I compare them, the reported number can be off by quite a bit from the real temperature .
Doubly egregious when you have one of those annoying GDPR windows that make opting out a hassle just to view the menu. I’ve left restaurants over this.
I agree they make it seem exceptionally dramatic, but I do understand the annoyance of having a service included (an email address) and soon I need to pay for it. That is extremely annoying.
The kind interactions (including pictures and such) you get on OF vastly differs what you will get on other platforms. That’s not in the job description.
And to your last point, she was a social media manager, not a Facebook moderator. How does that compare? Are you intentionally making bad faith arguments?
As for the reason I brought up Facebook moderation is, what do you think is usually posted there? Minion memes? Photos from trips? Well those moderators are often subjected to beheadings, rape, and other very graphic content. Do you think that was explicitly stated when they got hired?
No likely not, and Facebook clearly deserves a proper reckoning. But I don’t see how this relates or makes it ok.
And I am not making any arguments whatsoever on whether or not she should actually have to see “comments from people talking about how they wanted to fuck me and my co workers.”.
Would you say LTT/LMG sells itself as a channel about sex or porn or the likes? No, it’s a tech channel and as such one would expect tech related social media. You could state that the function of the job is unchanged, but the job content is also relevant here.
I’ve posted some controversial stuff, and I understand why I would be getting down voted for that. But I see some of my posts and comments are in the negatives for seemingly no reason at all? I don’t really care about the karma because I can’t see it anyway, but I’m worried that comments and posts here are gonna get...
I’ve only skimmed your comments, but I think a factor is also that a lot of them are really hard to read.
Examples I see are weird sentence structure, the lack of paragraphs for longer messages, the lack of capitalisation, and rather odd/hyperbolic use of words (writing in the same way you’d speak?). This “style” just gets interpreted as “noise” when I’m reading it, which will get downvoted as it doesn’t contribute.
English isn’t my first language either (it’s not even my second or third!) so I understand it’s very hard to get these things right. But without sufficient clarity you will get downvotes, as it just comes off as noise.
For me it would probably be “7th continent”. It just feels a bit undercooked and the rules are vague in a way that’s really frustrating. People really like it on BGG but I don’t get it.
Yeah. It’s a nice concept, I even think 7th Continent could be nice if they redid the rules. A vague booklet and a half hour long YouTube video is not sufficient, especially since I can’t easily look stuff up in the video. (And let’s be honest I don’t wanna watch YouTube videos when I’m playing a board game either!)
I recently played The Dig for the first time, which passed me by when I was younger. I had heard of it I didn’t realise it was another Lucas/Spielberg game. I’d just come off a couple of other Lucasarts games and it was quite different....
I really loved this game but having played it again not too many years ago, it does have several “sins” of the genre like overly cryptic puzzles and pixel hunting.
About 8 months ago I got pretty tired of seeing billionaire spam online. I could not bear to read about yet another rich guy who launched themselves (or their $200,000 car) into outer space 🚀 . I also have several projects where I’m the only user, but I wouldn’t let that stop me from adding features for fun and exercise.
It’s not for me though. But I want to stress it’s not because I dislike it, but I find that seeing something blurred almost highlights something that’s gonna annoy me is here. Otherwise my brain would just kinda blank it. Good job tho, and I hope folks here are more interested.
Even then it’s still a quick mistake to make. If I’m not paying attention I could easily make a mistake like this, because I’m used to reading things left to right.
