You can’t tell me the Great Purge is something a left-wing person would do. He thought Hitler was “a great man”.
I’m far from an expert in political history, but if we were to look at controversial figures on the left, Guevara and Castro are probably the “worst” I can think of that still clearly had left-wing ideals in mind.
I mean, it’s not an absolute, but Wikipedia defines Left-wing politics as “the range of political ideologies that support and seek to achieve social equality and egalitarianism, often in opposition to social hierarchy as a whole or certain social hierarchies”.
Stalin actively repressed and killed ethnic minorities during the Great Purge. That’s absolutely not egalitarianism. I don’t know much of his politics but if he was trying to be a communist, his government was not really a “Dictatorship of the proletariat”. He could’ve written anything, actions speak clearer than words.
Even if he was targeting different ethnicities just because of the risk they could’ve been spies, what he effectively did was put a different “value” on his citizens, which is the opposite of social equality, a center aspect of leftism.
Maybe in his and his followers’ minds the end justified the means and he was actually aiming to build a better society for everyone, but ultimately what he did was enact racism and social hierarchies. If that still counts as left-wing to you we have different definitions.
Do you believe that every single action one must do be perfectly in line with leftist ideas to be a leftist? Is it not possible to commit evil for the purposes of, in their minds, securing the chances for achieving Socialism and Communism?
If an action has such a big impact and such little payoff as the ethnic cleansing in the great purge, I think that disqualifies you from actually being a leftist.
By that reasoning, even christian fundamentalists would be leftists: they want everyone to believe in god and adhere to their teachings so that we can all be at peace for eternity in heaven. But if what they’re doing to achieve it is Crusades, discrimination and antagonizing progress, the end result isn’t worth it (especially since, like with the great purge, there’s no guarantee all this suffering will actually bring results).
And we can learn from the mistakes of people even if we don’t think they align with our political stance, me considering Stalin a leftist or not doesn’t change my opinion on what he’s done.
I mean, it’s trying to compete against Steam. A platform which has 99% of the games ever released on PC after its inception at the same price and with a great interface.
You’re not winning against that unless you actually sell the same games at a lower price (and I don’t think they can afford to do that)

The only ones I know involve the protagonist going to a post-apocalyptic future, like 7 Seeds or in a sense Dr.Stone, or from the past to our present like Thermae Romae. I don’t think there’s any real series from the present to a Cyberpunk/Sci-Fi future, the only one I know of is a hentai (I heard the plot is actually decent, but it’s still porn in the end).

That doesn’t apply to art, though. Artists enjoy their job and are grateful that they can earn a living by doing it, so the job is the service.
This would not be a problem if we actually had an UBI-like system or the cost of basic living was near zero, but apparently we like getting rid of solutions before finding better ones.
I’m just talking because there’s probably no realistic way to make it possible at this point, but assuming countries could “buy back” houses from landlords until they have enough for everyone, I wouldn’t mind people having more than one house as long as everyone has at least one.

If you think they’re icky that’s fine, I’ve seen plenty of anime artwork that made me kinda uncomfortable, but equating them to a serious crime like pedophilia is an argument I’ll never get behind.
It’s still a drawing, and an unrealistic one at it. You can’t say liking an unrealistic representation of something real equates to being attracted to the real thing, any furry would be considered a zoophile and anyone who likes a zombie character a necrophile.
Not to mention if you go for the specific paraphilia term, that applies to people who like prepubescent children, and I don’t think they’re the same people who would appreciate SrGrafo’s stuff or “14-year old” characters with massive breasts like Yoko Littner.
4chan isn’t really that bad honestly. It’s just the epitome of “FrEe SpEeCh”, and as a consequence it attracts a crapton of social outcasts who finally have a place to vent their horrible opinions.

Depends. More streams means more money for the executives, so they’re encouraged to fund new seasons/new similar projects to get more money, resulting in more money for the creators/actors too. If a series doesn’t get streamed it’ll hardly get renewed and the creators/actors can’t make a name for themselves.
Although as I said, piracy doesn’t really hurt under that aspect since if a series isn’t that known it might help in getting it popular, and if it’s already known it doesn’t need additional incentives for renewal.
