Plus it’s like one scene in one episode out of 190. Most people probably forgot about it after two episodes. Demonizing an entire series for less than 0.5% of it is kinda pointless.

Well yeah, you might be right in that sense. I was focusing mainly on the “sexualization of minors” part, which is pretty much absent in Jojo, but if you factor “unhealthy relationships” I can definitely see the issue (you also forgot how arguably the most liked character in the entire series had an illegitimate son with a woman 42 years younger than him, that’s not really ok either lol)

I think my comment was misunderstood: it was kind of a half-joke about Peterson’s writing.

Everyone learned to make their concept as long as possible in school because they were better-received, and that’s what Peterson is doing: talking in the most convoluted way possible to make his otherwise bland ideas feel smart.

I didn’t mean it to be a jab at the users, but I might’ve written it too ambiguously.

Obviously in most cases it’s better when something you read on the internet is short and concise: my gripe was with a lot of news sites (and, in this case Peterson) who do the exact opposite of that to seem smarter. The “joke” was that it’s a behavior learned in school, where the more you write the better, even if you could’ve expressed the same concept in a much shorter way.

I’m not saying men are better than women in those aspects. I’m saying a very limited amount of people, both men and women, have the physical and mental fortitude to withstand a space mission, and there is virtually never going to be a situation where two people have the exact same qualifications and weight has to be the “tiebreaker”. One dude offered me a sandwich when he saw me dumpster diving. He said to stay in the area and I was desperate. I hadn’t eaten in days. Honestly, what stops me from going crazy on assholes is thinking of everything I’d lose if I did. There’s quite some Anime movies I like more than Princess Mononoke (Perfect Blue, Wolf Children, Ghost in the Shell…) but it’s undoubtedly a masterpiece. That’s the one that should be the spearhead of Ghibli, not Spirited Away.
