I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds
Germany is struggling to get people on-board with a green energy movement that involves banning high footprint domestic heating systems (e.g. gas boilers)-- thus forcing people to migrate to heat pumps. A low-income family who was interviewed said it would cost €45k to install a heat pump in their terraced home in Bremen....
We have a house from the 1920s. The isolation in these houses are non existent or minimal. I isolated things i could access like the roof. But still i can really isolate the walls because since they are double walls (2 walls with a space between them) there is a lot of debris on the bottom which has to be cleared before they could be filled with isolation (expensive) if thats even possible if not (in our case it isnt) then i would have to put isolation on the outside which is a min of €20k. And i would have to isolate the floor another €8k and even then the house isnt 100% isolated. Then the cost of the heatpump which is about €10k to €15k in our case. And then if i really want off gas i also have to do some sort of boiler for water which i dont really have space for. So all in all it would be cheaper to build a new house then to retrofit my 100 year old house. And there are a lot of old houses here. Heatpumps in its current form are just not feasible for “normal” people.
Our cat does the same and almost never has hairballs (no idea why neither does the vet and ahe is perfectly healthy). We do have some cat grass she can eat when she wants to “clean” and we give her treat specialy for hairballs. Sonyou can try that. Dont be alarmed when she heaves and only grass and some drool comes out thats normal.
No idea that even cat healthcare is just as expensive als human healthcare… weird. But isnt there some shelter or org that does check ups for ppl that dont have a shit load of money? I think i read that somewhere some time ago. Here for example u can het free Neutering or sterilization once or twice a year from shelters and vets even. But on set dates. But that doesnt help you since im on the orher end of the world :)
Anyway. Mine does this dry heave and sometimes with some clear fluid and grass and been doing that for 10 years. Onone knows why my vet said, sometimes some cats doe this. Not really an answer but still i dont think you need to worry unless she stops eating and stuff…but not a vet :)
Oh you still can. Nothing will really change. Still has to make coalitions, compromisses blablabla if thats possible and if not well maybe new elections. Is he extreme? Yes allthi he seems to have lighten up a bit who knows. But its not like other countries. A Prime Minister is not a total ruler only a sort of spokes person. All the parties have to agree on things to make shit happen, and is why everything goes so slow here. Its not the best explanation but its the gist of it. Its still shit he MAY represent every dutch person but its not done yet. It way better then thierry beaudet (cunt). There a lot of assdicks in our parties.
Is it a samsung? And is there an netflix app on the tv? Just having the app on the tv even without login inor account will, at least on one of my tvs, make those requests.
Delete the app from the tv should stop those requests.
Only thing that is keeping me from buying a ps5 is the update times. I have a ps4pro and i once had to wait 5 fucking hours for it to update a few games (i think 10 or so)even with a ssd installed. Did that change with the ps5 or is it still horrible?
So i want to do a large uograde to my “homelab” but since i dont want to spent 1200€ on an empty synology nas and another 1200€ on hdd, i saw this on amazon (sorry site is dutch) I have a synology ds416play with 40tb and want to use this new one with 80tb hdds and a lenovo m600 i5 attached with some nas software....
Yeah the usb is indeed not the fastest. The lenovo mini pcs i already have (got 3 different kinds) and want to make them servers just havent gotten around to it. Thing is if i build a pc just for the nas thats going to cost me about the same as buying a synology or other nas. But yeah usb not ideal.
Because. Well, space…. Cant really delete anything and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. And if i have to search through a lot of files and other things in my house and studio have to do this also, i like to get rid of the network bottleneck. And, well its going to be more and more multiGig routers and switches. And i like speed :)
Ah cool. I will check this out. Its been a long time since i build my own pc. But i guess the basics stay the same. Can always strip one of the lenovos
Those lenovo thinkcenters are small but there very robust, dont consume a lot and basicly have to function as a mb for hdds. A synology nas has way less cpu power. Tnx for the tips.
I could use the ssd for cache mem in a qnap or synology. I dunno, i basicly wanted to use the thinkcenter as a mb for hdd. Say an upgraded version of a nas which have way less mem capability or cpu. But after watching those vids maybe best to go for something new and not refurbished. Now in”just” have to choose what for what price. I was originaly gonna buy a dell san or something refurbished but thats going to a whole other level and cost way more time.
No need. S2 is really good. Its not pratchett but gaiman wrote this with finnemore. And although i dont know this man i read that its the next best thing
Doesnt japan also drive on de left side of the road? Because ive noticed that countries that drive left tend to use mixed, like the uk uses cm and inch (also stone which i really dont understand). But thats just my brainfart
Should be just one. Banana for scale. ALL scale(s)
